Adam Thielen got his extension and he didn't waste any time putting up his home for sale. It's a fabulous home in Woodbury, but he must want an even better one now.

Brian Robison is the third #Vikings stalwart in recent years to sign a one-day contract and officially retire. Jared Allen and Kevin Williams did so in 2016. Adrian Peterson told me last year he plans to sign a one-day contract with the Vikings whenever he officially retires.

Think Spielman will give him a signing bonus?

Pay Matt no mind. He's trying to start a fight about it on 3 different threads with no takers.

Don't know what his game is like now, but we certainly have some dreck we could swap out.

EACH TEAMS MOST-LIKELY CUT OR TRADE FOLLOWING THE DRAFT....

Minnesota Vikings
Laquon Treadwell, WR
Trade rumors circulated around several Vikings starters during the draft, including tight end Kyle Rudolph and corners Xavier Rhodes and Trae Waynes. I suspect one or more of those players will be off the roster come 2020, but the Vikings can afford to keep them around for one more season. By drafting Irv Smith Jr., though, I suspect Minnesota will be inclined to use more two-tight-end sets in 2019. In doing so, the Vikings will be taking the disappointing Treadwell off the field. The former first-round pick might not make the roster in 2019.

That doesn't really make any sense as far freeing up cap space. Cutting Treadwell leaves us with $2,506,360 in dead cap money and only frees up $654,770.

Sources say #Vikings looking this spring into moving Jayron Kearse from safety to weakside linebacker. The 6-4, 215-pound Kearse was a linebacker in high school. Vikings didn’t draft an outside backer & drafted a safety (Marcus Epps) & signed an undrafted safety (Micah Abernathy)

Yup...

The Vikings would eat about $3 million in dead cap money if Treadwell is released before June 1, so expect him to remain on the roster into the summer unless they can find a trade partner. If they were to trade him, likely for a low conditional draft pick, it drops to a $1.3 million dead cap hit with $1.8 million in space freed up.

It may be necessary to add a future draft pick with Treadwell to make the trade. I think I would prefer to keep Treadwell.

The way Trader Rick stockpiles 7th rounders, give NE or some other team a 7th rounder and pick up the cap space.
