My top players in college right now are McFadden, DeSean Jackson (Cal) and Brian Brohm. I think Jackson could put up some unreal numbers this year!
Those are fine picks for Heisman... depending on whose team helps them the most by actually winning games...if Arkansas doesn't blow it by losing too many, McFadden should be a lock...but you are right about Jackson, and with the new KO rule, he could get some TD on returns record this year... I don't think L'ville can help Brohm enough Of course, there is always JDBooty...who could win by default as QB of a dominant team...but I think USC will falter at least one, but maybe twice...this is not as good a team as 05...and even they faltered, well UT and VY had soemthing to do about that... Can't wait for some football!!!
I agree. I hate USC, but their defense will be very good this year. And I've always liked Booty (throws a ball about 100 times as pretty as Leinart; should have started over him 2 years ago infact if not for hype). The keys for USC will be getting a consistent rotation on offense. They had clearly defined roles when they were at their best (White/Bush, etc.). I think it almost HURTS them that they have too much talent now at RB. They need to have a couple guys stand out (like McKnight for example) and get in a rhythm. Oh, and the Oline will take a bit of time to gel too. Same for the new WR's, who I do like (especially Hazleton/Turner). First time I've liked USC's WR's in a LONG time (never though Mike Williams/Jarrett were anything special). For the Heisman, I'd definitely throw Slaton, Hart, and Tebow into the mix. Florida's going to contend for the title again, make no mistake about it, and Tebow will be featured. Urban Meyer is hands down the best coach in the country and he'll have him ready to play. Slaton could be scary with White AND Devine with him, and he'll have a big PR (Rutgers-like) factor going for him. And then Hart makes Michigan go. If they play up to their talent and get to the title game, don't forget about him either.
