Watson finishes off a huge gut-check for Nashville
Back to HickTown with a 3-2 lead

Haven't bashed our goalie for awhile, so here goes ... I truly believe that if Nashville gets this done, this Stanley Cup trek they are on, it will be because of Rinne.
Never lets in a cheap one.
Never lets his team down.
Anything they give up is honest and earned.
They trust him and they play like it.

As I watch these playoff games unfold I sit and think, wow, there is no way our team of undersized speedy forwards would hold up all the way to the finals. The teams still in the hunt are bigger and just as fast, but can take a beating as well as dish it out. Makes me glad we have some size and grit in the pipeline, because I don't think we make it any further than our usual one and out without it.

Now the question is.....Will the Ducks make it to game 7 and lose again? Or will they finally get over the hurdle?

I'll never understand how Pittsburgh is this good.
I just don't get it.

They always seem to have a superstar to build around. I have no doubt that when Sindey's age catches up and he starts to decline, they will somehow find a way to draft another. In the meantime, here in flyover country we will continue to draft middle of the road talent and be lucky to get out of the first round.......

Yup
I'm not dumb enough to not realize they do always have a couple of the best players in the world ... but .... lots of other stuff going on there
Their roster has been DECIMATED
And they just keep on rolling

Huge expectations
And they usually answer them

Btw ... AWESOME World Cup final today, Sweden wins it in a shootout
Nice to see Canada humbled a bit
Very cool to see the two Lundquist Bros go out on top.

I see it exactly the same way. We'd be pounded into submission in 5 by any of these squads, except possibly Pittsburgh. They'd beat us with snipers, a la Chicago.

So now they resort to cheap shots from behind. It would serve them right if he gets 5 minute major for that.....

I just don't understand NHL refs..... a ticky tacky cross check got called against Suban. Yet Manson can damn near break his stick on a Preds player with nothing.

Preds went into safety mode way too early making it easy for the Ducks.
If they had Dubs in the net they would be down by 3 right now....

Yup

Tons of injured going into Nashville hospitals the next month, overflow on broken hands from all the glass pounding.

All these years, no ones ever been able to answer that one for me.
Pounding on the glass, it does what again?

All I can say is Rinne better spend another 2 weeks standing on his head, or it won't be much of a series.
Been carrying them.
The ice was tilted all night, he won them that game.

Will agree with that.
I remember Dustin asking years ago what we thought of the Preds attempts to better themselves ...
They've paid off, my friend.
