The Leafs are popping some bruins tonight. I hope Toronto wins at least one in this series!

Yup, just like our games up in Winnipeg. The refs make sure the game is more like watching WWE for the Canadians......

HATE the Preds

HATE Marchand even worse. That little puke should be maimed

+1 on both counts. Marchand is a very good player, but he is a real sonofabitch when he plays. Claude Lemieux minus the swagger.

The league has had its black sheep forever
Its had some really really bad characters throughout the years.
This little clown is unacceptable to me.
There are a couple videos out there that chronicle his exploits.
How anyone could defend him in any way, makes zero sense to me.
He's proven he cannot be trusted to NOT eventually kill someone at some point.
Why he hasn't been removed by the unwritten rules of the game, is beyond me.

Cannot believe how good these playoffs are every year
Its captivating to me
I can develop intense love/hate relationships in two weeks over the course of these series.

My Kings are giving their all, but the Vegas buzzsaw is ridiculously good.
Every team in the playoffs is capable of winning their series, no one is overmatched.
Surprisingly to me, the Ducks are maybe the only ones going out with a whimper.
But mostly because the Sharks are beasts again.
Love NOT seeing the Blues, Hawks, and Red Wings this year.
Boston is pretty damn solid, as are the Penguins. Will be tough to beat.
Vegas and Nashville seem to play at a higher speed right now. Scary good.
Winnipeg is not as good as I thought they were.

Caps finally got one
Vegas is just on another level
Unreal speed and ferocity on the attack
The Kings fought like wild animals, tried everything, but Vegas is simply loaded with better players
The Preds/Knights/Sharks types will tear the Jets up. I hope.

Devils / Lightning
Probably a barn burner series
Devils owned the Ning this season
But TB is truly elite.
Tampa in 7

Bruins / Leafs
Boston has built a nice team again unfortunately
Leafs are good but the Sophomore jinx is killing some of their best guys
Bruins in 6

Phlyers / Pens
Philly has actually pulled it together even with a Hack in charge
Pens are still the Pens
Pittsburgh in 5

Capitals / Blue Jackets
Caps might fnally have figured it out. Lay in the weeds
Columbus is tough man. Gritty MFers
Caps in 7

Knights / Kings
Vegas is a cute story.
Kings look ready to end the Vegas hopes
Kings in 7

Avs / Preds
Good news Avs, you're in
Bad news Avs, you've got this beast
Preds in 5

Sharks / Ducks
Love these Cali match ups. They are wars
Sharks are grizzled and pissed
Ducks are grizzled and pissed.
Ducks in 7 and a half

Wild / Jets
As usual we limp in. I've seen some good things, but ....
Jets are our nightmare matchup. Too big too fast too good
Jets in 5.

Should be a couple outstanding series in the mix
Preds and Jets are the beasts IMO
Hope the Ning come out of the East
But will never bet against the Pens.

Nailed some, not even close on others
So, the usual.

Ovie gets another chance to right the Pens/Caps wrongs.
Bruins might regret letting the young Leafs hang around
Can't wait for Round Two
Going to be some good ones.

Pens at Caps
Here we go again.
The classic, one team dominating another for so long.
It ends this time? Or it goes on?
I've actually always liked the Caps, but man, they make it hard ....
Capitals in 7

Bruins at Lightning
No secret who I hate here.
Boston thinks the world owes them everything.
Tampa is better than them and I hope they show it. No mercy please
Ning in 6

Sharks at Knights
Could be a great one.
Vegas' speed and the Sharks wisdom and grit and dirt.
Would love to see this old group of Sharks finally get over the himp, but the league wants this Vegas team to do well.
Vegas in 6

Jets at Preds
Thought this would be a great one, but not sure the Jets are good enough.
I've learned to not like the Jets, quickly. But I really really don't like the Preds at this point.
Will be painful to see either one have success. Hoping for a tie, with both unable to continue.

I don't think I've rooted for a team to win that much since the Hawks won the last Cup. I wanted Toronto to win the series and send marchand back to wherever he came from, but it wasn't to be. He seemed to be even more obnoxious than usual the last few games.

Pens roll the Caps. They are totally in their heads at this point (or the past 5 years it seems). It's the Yankees/Twins all over again.

Correction, David. Your FIRST YEAR hometown team is pretty good. What they've done this year is unreal.

Its nuts. It makes me wish I was a bigger hockey fan because Vegas has gone absolutely crazy for the team since Day 1.

We did go to a couple games. Center ice behind the glass, access to better food etc. We both had a blast in person (Lisa has the BEST friends).

That whole expansion scenario still pisses me off. There has never been a more absurdly structured expansion draft in the history of sports.

Bingo
Angry about it
Angry.

Sorry, just am
The rest of us get to suffer for a decade, now they can build an all-star team and kill people
Gee, good on them.

Anyone who couldn't fashion a great team out of the players they had available to them, is an idiot.
We've seen Tony Campbell days around here.

Pretty obvious.
Still hoping those two somehow both lose

That's why the league has lost me as a fan. I may not watch another hockey game until next season. The favortisim and terrible reffing has taken all enjoyment out of the games for me....

They do think it's funny. That's the part I don't get. Marchand was recently complaining about how he has this unwarranted rep for being dirty, then he goes out and makes himself a liar almost every game night. Pierre (do we have to keep seeing him all the time?) just thinks marchand is scrappy! Geez.
