Like you, I won't watch a minute of it. I may check out replays of the carnage but won't watch any real time game action.

Played out perfectly for the Blues
Whine enough about SJ and eventually you’ll reap the benefits
Their “toughness” consists of crosdchecks and slashes
As was said. Let’s hope rat bastard gets a wood shampoo nightly.
And loses a bunch of chicklets.

Yup, SJ doesn't have the fortitude for this kind of series (when the refs are not really calling penalties). They push STL in to the boards. STL will gladly end your career.

Is this where I come to whine about the high hit on Pavelski that probably ended his season?
By that all-time wonderful citizen choir boy (according to Pierre) Pietrangelo?
Should we start some "the refs want St Louis to win" thread? I hear that works.
The final this year will pit the two cheapest teams in the league.
At least I can watch in hopes they'll kill each other.

Make sure you keep us informed so we know what Jack Asses we need to Google to watch the replays of headshots that were perfectly legal.
Should be a wonderful series for the goon-style purists north of the border and those that think the UFC should be a part of hockey.

I've respected Berube for what he did to turn St Louis season around, but I should have known.
Dude was a borderline axe murderer when he played.
And guess who his ASSIstant is? Our pal Steve I-never-met-a-cheapshot-I-didn't-use Ott.
Big surprise they've become the league leaders in missed-games-against.

The sad part of that non-call is the refs couldn't even pretend to get a good look at it. HE WAS PART OF IT

And those purists to the North won't even watch. 2 US teams so no reason to.

My Shark dreams crash again
For the last time
That team is a mess
No good contracts
No draft choices
At least they went for it

On to the least-appealing Cup Final, ever. Wheeeeee

Canes vs Bruins
I no likey either one
I no likey Bruins a lot.
But they somehow get it done.
Canes are on a magical roll. Will it continue?
Crowd will WILL them to a couple wins.
Bruins in 7

not really even close

Blues vs Sharks
I've gotten to really respect what the Blues have done.
Thinking this will be the Wilds blueprint one day.
In fact they remind me of the good Wild teams.
One star, and a lot of good role players.
So happy Sharks are in. I love their story, their grit.
Thornton said it all last night ... "we're just fun guys having fun. Don't want it to end"
Neither do I
Sharks in 7

arghhhhhhhhh

I might be able to root for Boston if Marchand gets smoked in Game 1, Period One.

Otherwise, I'll just enjoy watching the injuries pile up to both teams.

Great officiating thru the playoffs NHL.

Poor Mike Yeo.

Will probably be the most-mentioned name in hockey the next couple weeks.

One gone.

Less than a year after losing John Tavares, the New York Islanders re-signed new No. 1 center Brock Nelson before he could even test free agency.
Nelson on Thursday agreed to terms on a six-year contract through the 2024-25 season. Nelson scored 25 goals and set career highs with 28 assists and 53 points last season to help the Islanders make the playoffs.
''It was a bigger opportunity,'' Nelson said in a phone interview. ''There wasn't a whole lot of talk about us being a very good team. A lot of people predicted us to be kind of at the bottom of the league. Kind of went out there to prove people wrong and a chip on our shoulder. And for me, that opportunity playing with great players throughout the year, I think just trying to step into those shoes and take advantage of that.''
Getting Nelson under contract is one item on a long offseason checklist for general manager Lou Lamoriello. Captain Anders Lee and goaltender Robin Lehner are among the Islanders' potential unrestricted free agents.
With Tavares' departure for his hometown Toronto Maple Leafs still fresh, the Islanders don't want to say goodbye to their captain two years in a row and would love to bring back Lehner after a bounce-back season made him a Vezina Trophy finalist .
''Hopefully guys decide to stay and come back and you want to win together,'' Nelson said. ''This is the only place I've ever known. Being comfortable with the fit and everything was great for us, and you hope maybe it's similar for some of those guys. But you just never know how it shakes out. You hope to see those guys back because last year was a special group and you want to keep it together.''

It looks like it will be tough to win in Boston. I'm tired of Boston teams winning it all. Yeah, I'm jealous.

So awesome
This is going to be a hilarious series
The Blues finally ran into someone who crosschecks, slashes, and intereferes, more than they do.

It's like every once in awhile they realize ... "damn, dude, that was nasty ... oh wait ..."

They've both been allowed to bulldoze their way to the Finals
They deserve each other. Hopefully it will end in bloodshed, as has been said.

Krug getting all kinds of love for his helmetless launch into space last night
the TV crew doing everything they could to make it look within the rules.
"didn't leave his feet until after the contact"
Good one Pierre. Since you said it, its true.
One sequence summed it up perfectly ..
Marchand and Bergeron on a 2-on-1 enter the zone, Marchand sends puck over to Bergeron, then immediately drives himself into the defender, who is trying to stop Bergeron. Marchand literally goes directly into the defender, leading with the typical chopping motion into the hands first, the defenders stick goes flying, it ends up as a perfect football screen-play downfield block.
And its praised as a brilliant odd-man rush.
Its maddening to know that these things aren't accepted when others do them. And certainly aren't praised.
And yes, I wish we had guys willing to break the rules to win. I guess.

I hear that jackwagon is spouting off about how much better things are there
Yeah, well, you get accepted better, when you actually put out effort ... pal.
Coyle pisses me off more every time I look at him.
Only thing that makes me happy, is knowing that when he disappears for a month at a time next year, his ass will be gone.
Different animal there. Look at Donato. Didn't produce for a couple weeks? You gone.
