Status: offline 		Agree man. Would have been ok with GP but more happy with BM. It's the recruiting aspect. Not saying GP doesn't have it there but BM certainly does and that's what we need to get this back on track short term.

Status: offline 		I have a feeling Potulny is still in the earning his stripes mode and will be ready to take over the Gophers when Motzko is ready to retire. I do like Motzko and hope he is the new voice needed at the U.

They asked him why he'd ditch a rising St Cloud program for the U job
I swore, for a minute, that he was stumped. It got awkwardly silent.

Some great teams in the state right now.
Would be so fun to have a all-MN frozen four one day.

But we looked much better this weekend.
Motzko WILL insist on some better toughness. Showed up already.
And we have a really good tender. Much better feel to it (for one weekend)

Might be a good thing for us moving forward.
Motzko will be concerned about what's best for the U, not what's best for the mommies and daddies of the players.

Status: offline 		We play a series against the defending national champs in early October and then nothing until the end of the month. Did Bettman have a hand in the Gophers schedule making?
And now we play a single game in Vegas against hated UND, it's their home game, so the Gophers only get enough tickets for parents of players. Must be thinking a schedule like that will make us yearn for the B10, LOL.

Status: offline 		I don't get why we are playing in Vegas. Weird. My sister-in-law, her hubby and his brother-in-law are in Vegas for this game. We're watching our niece and nephew for the weekend. When is the hockey game and is it on TV? What channel?

Status: offline 		From what I can tell it may be on Comcast on 999? Since it's considered a home game for UND the NCHC controls the rights so we may be locked out by them.

Someone finally gets it.
or at least, is talking about it.
Imo, we the most-talented team, no matter who we play.
And it rarely translates to wins anymore.
We can make plays like no other. we can dangle, we can handle, we can duck and dodge and dive.
And lose by 5.
Some are apparently ok with looking good and losing.
There's no such thing in my world.

That must be a reflection of the coach. I hate to say it, but dirty hockey tends to be winning hockey. North Dakota was winning titles and known to be the dirtiest team in the nation. Mankato has been kicking ass for at least the last couple years. I think my Huskies are known to be mostly clean.

Status: offline 		I watched the first period and the beginning of the 2nd and all I took away from it was that Nanne is turnover machine on defense....hope he's graduating soon. LOL
I was actually surprise but happy to see they pulled out a win last night. This team has not been impressive in any area so far. Motzko has his work cut out for him turning this team into what it once was as a program.

Status: offline 		I tried to watch this team again last night, but couldn't get through the 2nd period. This group has become a disgrace to the tradition of Golden Gopher hockey. Just a group of individuals out there doing their thing like they're playing pond hockey and not team hockey......terrible.
