This is just stupid. Yes, we SHOULD kill the Lions. But no the team should NOT overlook them. No team should overlook any team.

Let's move on.

Yes, your overlooking the Lions is comical, if not frightening.

Ooh

The big bad Detroit Lions are going to beat us

No, just prepare for them like they could beat you...don't disrespect them...just go out and kick their ass.  If you don't prepare for the Lions like they can beat you...they will.

We(fans) don't have to prepare for shit. The team will prepare, don't worry. My only concern would be if we make an unforced error and go into Fetal position mode too soon.

This is a team of professionals.  As much as I dislike Brett, there is no chance in <hot fiery place> that he loses to Detroit.

THERE IS NO WORRY IN THIS GAME AT ALL unless you are an old lady.

I have been thinking the same thing about Farve. He is like Chilly insurance. He won't let Chilly get scared.

The Creamcyles are back!

Tampa going throwback. Classic Bay of Pigs matchup! Go Rookie! C'mon Freeman!

Most important games for Vikings today, imo

Saints get upset by Carolina, Cardinals revenge the Bears for the Crown their ASses game!

These results would put us in the drivers seat at the halfway mark for clear division title and leg up for HFA.

One good thing about this weekend is we are the only good team with a BYE.  That means we get to watch all the other contenders beat each other up.

Tommie Harris just got booted from the Bears/Cardinals game after three or four plays for straight-up punching a Cardinals' offensive lineman in the face after a play.

That's the Chicago way, I guess.

James Jones Touchdown! Like a high school play. No safeties or corners in play. Easy as pie!

Hitting someone in the helmet with your hand, not only doesn't seem very bright, it also doesn't seem very effective.

Rodgers with a 74 yard TD pass against another horrible team.

I'd like to see his YPA splits between good teams and bad teams. I swear he has a dozen 50+ yard TD passes against really bad teams.

And now the Bears actually get called for a holding penalty on special teams.

Damn. . .my calendar doesn't SAY it's Christmas. . .I'm so confused right now.

I liked the Bill Simmons quote from his picks column this week. . .think somebody posted it here. . .

"Aaron Rodgers is this year's Great Game Against a Bad Team MVP.  His stats have no correlation with his actual effectiveness.  Even Al Bundy didn't hold his balls this long."

No you wouldn't

Rodgers had 2 games against us and had a 110 and 108 QB ratings with 5 TD passes and 1 INT

The only team to hold him under 92 QB rating was Cin

Of course they no longer have Matador Williams at Safety

Rodgers has 4 games against playoff contenders and is 7 TDs and 1 INT in those games.

Maybe wonder boy Dom Capers is really the problem in Green Bay

I'm talking about length of TD passes and average. Look at how his averages break between good/decent defenses and bad:

CHI: 6.6
CIN: 6.7
MIN: 7.0

STL: 11.7
DET: 9.7
CLE: 12.3

This one angers me:

MIN: 10.4

Against bad teams, he can get away with holding the ball too long and trying to throw bombs on every play. Against good teams it can bite him in the ass.

I would say Rodgers is the classic example of great stats/mediocre player.  He is the new Culpepper in that he can make some big plays but there are certain key times in a game where the QB has to step up and he can't do that.

Some of his sacks are Jay Schroeder like in that he has a few light years to get rid of the ball and simply takes a drive killing sack instead.

As mentioned above, his stats do not translate into big wins.

The Cardinals' offense is just pimp-slapping the Bear defense around Soldier Field.  Looks more like an Arizona scrimmage thus far than a regular season game.
