I cannot believe Tony can even put his own shoes on at this point.
Seriously. WTH.
He was relevant as a manager DECADES ago. Like 4. Wow.

76 year old manager with a core of guys 35-40 years younger

It worked in Houston I guess.

Tony's first ML gig was the year I graduated from High School

Oh my.

He'll love Andersons bat flips.

"Tim goes deep! uh-ohhhh Looks like we have a medical emergency in the Sox dugout" ….

La Russa was fired after the 1986 season by the Sox

Twins finished the season with 3 straight wins in the 4 game finale series w/Chicago

That last lineup was

Lombo
Bush
Kirby
Herbie
Smalley (at third)
Hatcher
Jeff Reed
Billy Beane
Gagne

3-0 Twins win

Viola went the distances on a 2 hitter w/9 Ks

Still puzzled this morning

So, you test positive, you're told to isolate, you don't, you head out to celebrate, your wife walks over to you, and you slide your mask down and plant one on her.
Whaaaaaaaaat?

Is this another moment when I realize its ME that is F-ed in the head? Because this seems like an unreal test of whats right and whats wrong.
That's an ok action for everyone?
Does Turner know something we don't about this virus, is he some sort of genius with a secret? Or was this just blatant, open stupidity that everyone seems to be ok with?
I remain puzzled.

I think it's time they charge someone like Turner for reckless endangerment or something of that nature.

CHICAGO -- A glitch in a graphic file that was emailed to some fans announcing the Chicago White Sox's hiring of new manager Tony La Russa on Thursday contained a signature of AJ Hinch on a picture of La Russa.

The mistake was due to multiple variations of the graphic being prepared for various candidates, according to a team source, although Hinch was never interviewed.

The file ended up in the finished product that was emailed on Thursday as part of the La Russa announcement.

The crazy hiring by the White Sox is getting lots of scrutiny today, as it should
Probably the least-TonyLaRussa-type-team, hires Tony LaRussa.
This could be fun to watch.

Charlie Mortons option declined by Rays
He's one of those "oh boy, does he have a lot left?" guys
Been highly underrated

They're probably the one team in the AL that could make that move and likely not feel a huge difference.

Their scouting and development are way better than almost every other MLB team.

Too bad mlb is losing money...

Steve Cohen is the richest #MLB owner in baseball, worth about $14.5 billion, and paid the largest purchase price for the #Mets at $2.475 billion.

Cheater manager gets to return and run the BoSox

Cora's return hopefully won't turn them around.

Anderson on LaRussa

"There's been a lot of news saying that we might not get along,'' Anderson said, chuckling. "Hopefully, we can get along and continue to do what the ultimate goal is -- to try to win a championship on the South Side. I'm just ready to pick his brain and learn the knowledge. ... Just try to have fun with it, if he allows that."

Winning usually takes care of a lot of the "issues" that some dream up.

LaRussa managed Jose Canseco and Rickey Henderson. I'm not seeing a problem with him managing Tim Anderson.

Good point.
As long as he still has the energy to do it.

Not when he was 70 years older than them, he didn't.

THINK about it.

Way too soon to act like everyone's paid their penance, imo.

Saw one comparison of that

all they wound up missing was the basic length of a steroids suspension

for cheating

I see the GM filed a suit vs the asstros for the termination, which he alleges was a backroom deal between the owner and Manfred, where the owner got out of a suspension, and MLB guaranteed no player suspensions so they'd field a competitive team.

Was just about to flip out about Cora getting the RS job already
Then saw he actually expressed some remorse and took some heat and some responsibility for his actions
Might have actually been the instigator behind all of it (by being the guy in Boston doing it, too)
So I do give him credit for manning up
Those who still haven't admitted fault, need to be harassed. Until they do.
God knows the chickenshit commissioner won't.
Springers about to strut his cheating ass right into the leagues biggest contract, shameful.
