Damn. Hamlin's car is kinda junk now. Gonna be an uphill battle all day.

Hamlin tried blaming it on Biffle. But watch the replay. Hamlin ran right into him.

Good fortune. Looks like the work they did on Hamlin's fender bender made the car faster than it was before the damage occurred.

Wonder if Jim is watching the Vikes or the race? I'm betting on the race. It's like the 2nd Super Bowl of racing this season. Daytona was the first. Too bad it's only on ESPN. Should be on ABC or FOX.

Thanks Harvick and Kyle Busch. You just pinned Hamlin a lap back and guaranteed a championship for Jimmie Johnson. Probably planned.

Good race, could care less for all three drivers racing for the title. On to the off season and enjoying some Vikes football. How have they been?
See ya in February at the new Daytona.

Jim, when the Packers win, you don't quit posting about football. How come when Jimmie Johnson wins, you quit posting about NASCAR?

What I don't understand is why anyone posts about NASCAR at all.

But each to their own, I guess.

People post about the Lynx.

Now I hope posting about NASCAR makes more sense to you.

Nope.

Basketball in any form sucks and is the only thing more nonsensical than NASCAR...but that doesn't help NASCAR.  It still makes no sense.

I'm sorry but until they reverse the races 50% of the time (as in go the other way) or make most of the races road coarses, it's mostly just driving around in circles turning right for about 2 1/2 hours.  Whoooppeeee.

Basketball rocks. Star Trek in any generation or version blows chunks. The NASCAR thread would be 2 pages long if it weren't for people coming in to make fun of it.

You're right.  I do.

It's even worse that they turn left all day.  It's a waste of time to even ponder it.

They repaved Daytona and it sounds like we will get an exciting race in Feb

http://www.charter.net/news/read.php?rip_id=%3CD9K56MHO0%40news.ap.org%3E&ps=998

My sisters #2 son got her a ticket to it for her birthday this month. Naturally he got 1 for himself also. She is excited and I guess she should be

I've decided that the only way I will ever give NASCAR a chance is:

1.  They need to do every other race going the other way on the track.

2.  They need to have one race every year in a blizzard.  These guys think they are such good drivers...let's see them tackle a Minnesota or Buffalo NY snowstorm.

Nice win for a 20 year old kid who hasn't even won on the Nationwide series.

Good racing all round. Did anyone see the talkvikes dream team of Labonte and Robby Gordon drive to the front?

Missed the entire race. Heard all about Robby's heroics from my uncle. He said Robby was about to win, but then he wrecked??? Man, I wish I coulda seen it!

But I'm not a big fan of Daytona...too much luck involved in winning. I suppose that's the only kind of race Robby could win at this point...but just way too random. Gilliland, and now this guy...whatever his name is. Michael Waltrip. A lot of other bummy drivers have won Daytona. I think they need to look at that problem. Why are nobodies winning the biggest race of the year?

I think it's Robby with a Y, not IE. Give the man his respect!

Looks like Robby might surprise and run well again today. This could be his year.

Sweet! Vindication for Robby! "Who did that??" Crew chief: "Nobody, you did it to yourself." Robby: "NO!, someone got me in the rear right bumper!" The replay shows Robby was right. Time for Ambrose to feel some wall.

Robby back on the lead lap already. Gotta love it. Wouldn't be surprised if he's Top 10 today, as long as his car didn't get damaged too badly in that wreck.

What happened to Penske racing? Why does Kurt Busch's car have an Earnhardt E before the 22? Did he make a switch? I see Keselowski drives the 2 now.
