Big game this Sunday! Can the defense contain Caleb? Will JJ have another multi-TD game?

Pro tip:

The Bears are probably going to hit some chink plays. Probably score a few times. Try to not write the team off even if things look a little ugly.

Throw the stat lines out. This team just needs to keep finding ways to win.

2-0 in the division would be an incredible start.

Bears will get no more than 2 TDs. Maybe move the ball well but will be held to FGs more than they'd like.

Vikings are primed to make the Bears scoring last week a fluke.

You sound like Matt on the Twins thread. The key will be containing Williams in the pocket. The Vikinds do better against him when they keep him in the pocket and force him to make throws from there. Williams' big plays seem to come when he gets flushed and improvises.

Caleb Williams is really good.

He was lost his first year. Last year you could see he was starting to understand Johnson's system. This year he's thriving running it.

Johnson has usually been 1 step ahead of BFlo, quick snaps are a piece of it

My initial thought was the Bears will win this one easily, but any given Sunday.

BFlo could control the Packers in part because they didn't have an effective run game (no Josh Jacobs, inexperienced Oline, and the game being in Minnesota), BFlo could run a 46 defense and neutralize Love.

In contrast, the Bears have a good run game, with 2 good RBs, that can neutralize speed guys like Turner and Van Ginkel. And Johnson will counter with quick snaps or good play calling that attacks weaknesses the way BFlo attacks weaknesses of offenses.

I thought about putting money on the Bears, betting money line (not giving up points), so Bears to win, but you just never know. Maybe BFlo has another strong 4th quarter, or Murray, Wentz or JJ tear it up in the 4th quarter, but could be a challenge without the strength of Mason. Can Jones do enough, or will the rookie RB Claiborne be a difference maker.

I still see it as about an 75% chance the Bears win this one.

I am way more worried about the Bears run game than the pass game. Williams is very good, but you don't make many mistakes if all you have to do is turn and hand the ball off. I just want the defense to limit the Bears to less than 25 points. Ben Johnson is a good coach but makes me sick.

And was 21/29 last week.

He's really good, and is absolutely proving he was the right pick at #1.

And Ben Johnson has done a masterful job developing him. He's night and day from where he was going into his 2nd season.

Williams is definitely improving and he did throw a lot last year and a fair amount last week. I am not sure, but weren't a bunch of his throws last week short in nature? The dude can sling it, but it always frustrates me to watch teams have consistent success in running the ball. Let's hope the defense is up for the big challenge on Sunday. SKOL!

Unless BFlo comes up with a valid mid field pass defense, play action is going to have slot and tight ends open down the seam, all.. game.. long..

deep cover two is a one way ticket to getting eaten for lunch..
