Tough task for the defense this week, will we see a shootout?

I think the key to beating Lamar Jackson in keeping him bottled up in the pocket. Let him use his legs to extend plays and run and you're defense is in for a long day.

A Similar approach to what they did to the Lions would probably be wise, the only problem is Goff didn't have Jackson's mobility.

The NFL really didn't do the Vikings any favors.

We come out of the bye on a short week...then on our "minibye" we play a clear playoff contender on the road, coming off a real bye...and now we get the Ravens coming off a Minibye.

Ravens should be viewed as far better than their record indicates....

I feel a win at home with JJM showing more positive results.

At least both mini bye teams are playing an away game, which I think the NFL schedulers try to do. As for playing a clear playoff contender after our mini bye, that's kind of been a toss-up conversation piece over the years. Would you rather play a lousy or marginal team after the extra days off to sort of count that as a 100% win? Or would you rather apply the extra time against a very good team to increase the odds of winning? Both scenarios assume extra days equate to better play which often isn't the case. It's just a case of hypothetical preferences.

I remember a few years ago we played MNF's season opening second/later game in SF. The game started late even for SF, but I'm sure felt even later for those whose body clocks were still on CST.

Read an article years ago saying there were so many variables that went into a schedule that the computer could not produce something that 'evened out' everything. With more international games, Thursday and even Saturday games, etc that's probably even more of the case now.

.
the way i see it, it's entirely up to o'connell's play calling...if he goes with the formula he used during the first half last week, we've got a strong chance....

Great start but are we so disjointed that we have to burn a TO because we busted a 60 yard pass play?
