It was a fun game to watch, and I'll bet Tarasenko had fun drubbing his former team.

The Wild start the season with a 5-0 win.

Gus with a shut out
1st line: Kaprizov 3 assists, Boldy 1 goal and 2 assists, Rossi 1 goal 1 assist

Hartman with 2 goals

Ek with a goal

Our centers also took 56% of the face offs.

Sturm out and JEE had a terrible night at the dots. Bodes well. What doesn't? Liam O on the 4th and not a single shot on net. He may have to be moved because you can't send him back down. His confidence has to be shot. I'm not giving up since it's just 1 game but it's something to watch.

From what I read, Ohgren went backwards during training camp. Yurov has progressed, but is still adjusting to the smaller ice sheet. They moved him off of center. The hockey writers think wing was always his natural position. Strange that they were saying how well he meshed with JEE and Tarasenko. Suddenly he was in the press box for game 1.

As usual Hynes went with his vets instead of giving the young guys a chance. I know....let's put our rookies on the 4th line and limit their ice time due to special teams. They didn't get any regular shifts until the last 10 minutes of the game when the fans were leaving the arena... I really wonder how they expect the rookies to progress when Hynes puts them in positiont to fail instead of giving them a real shot to get better.

Ten players age 24 and younger were in Thursday’s lineup, including inexperienced players such as David Jiricek, Zeev Buium, Liam Ohgren and Hunter Haight, who was making his NHL debut. Add in Yurov and we can start building for the future now. We need a couple of them to step up enough to push Johansson to the press box and Hinostroza to Iowa.

Last night was a tough one to watch. I had a hard time deciding who was more brutal, Gus of Middleton. The calm, in position Gus from a couple of days ago just wasn't right from the start. Could open up the door for Wallstedt to show he's ready to be the guy or it could be the sign of a long season. I just hope this isn't going to be another year like last year where we were better on the road than at home.

Yeap. This might be a tough year with that D. When you score 9 goals in 2 games and 1-1, that says something. We gave the Jets a lot scratch for Jiri and he sits in the press box?

We really miss Brodin......What I have seen after 2 games from Spurgeon worry me.
