KG, I haven't turned things around, I have always hated the Puke.

Some posters that didn't like things I had to say, tried to make it sound like I was a Packers fan, because I had knowledge of them and respected them.

I still don't count the Pukers out, until they are completely eliminated, hopefully that is soon.

You're right. You still haven't turned it around if you haven't counted the Pukers out.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (11/15/2022 5:57:09 PM)

Nothing to turn around, I want the Pukers eliminated as soon as possible.

I like the fact that what the Packers do almost doesn't matter, as long as the Vikings keep winning.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (11/17/2022 10:21:37 PM)

A pleasure seeing the Pukers lose another one tonight. It seems that they have plenty of talent, but a serious chemistry problem.

Glad the Vikings don't play the Titans this season. They seem like a tough out this time of year. As the season wears on, it seems like teams that really run the ball well start rising to the top. You need balance.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (11/17/2022 10:23:32 PM)

That is why Dallas is a concern, NE and the Jets as well.

The Vikings may need to run the ball more, and they need to stop the run. Hopefully they get Tomlinson back soon, or we'll be wishing they had signed Joseph or Suh.

kgdabom -> RE: Other NFL News (11/17/2022 10:30:45 PM)

I've been branching out on my betting activity to include betting on the PUKE to lose. I said screw the points and got some odds. $50 paid $122.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (11/17/2022 11:01:31 PM)

Nice job KG.

Nice job KG.

[:D] It increases my joy of a PUKE loss. That loss should absolutely guarantee the Vikes win the Division and get me another $650.

What was the bet?

[&:][&:]
It was an accidental parlay. I was trying to place a free $5 bet on the Gophers to cover the spread against Western Illinois but they ended up being part of a $100 parlay together with the Vikings winning the Division. Instead of me getting $350 (stake plus winnings) that upped it to $650 (stake plus winnings)

KG, now it's 2 games with Watson:

"Over the past two games, Watson has caught eight passes for 155 yards and five touchdowns."

Hopefully Booth starts making some contributions, and Ingram starts getting settled in at RG. Otherwise, Watson would have been the pick, and would have been a nice complement to JJ.

How many passes did Watson catch Thursday? Was it 2? He hasn't shown me shit.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (11/19/2022 12:10:06 PM)

Watson - 4 catches, 48 yards, 2 TDs.

If he can stay healthy, he is a stud in the making. That's 5 TDs in the last two games.

Todd M -> RE: Other NFL News (11/26/2022 4:14:34 PM)

Saw a video of Diggs pulling a kid out of the stands and tossing a ball to him. A great moment that should be propped up.

I think he would have stayed for a KOC. Luckily life gifted us Jefferson.

Fluke. He will never be a stud, but because of your love and admiration for the PUKE you see a simple blip like this as a stud in the making.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (11/27/2022 2:53:27 AM)

So a one game fluke, has become a 5 TD in two games fluke. What would it take to no longer be a fluke ?

I can't stand the Pack, just thought it would have been nice to pair a big and fast WR with JJ for many years.

In the meantime, both Booth and Ingram look a little shaky.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (11/27/2022 10:40:10 PM)

KG, have you seen Watson play ?

The one game fluke, turned into a 2 game fluke, and now a 3 game fluke.

Watson is big and very fast, a stud in the making, unless he doesn't stay healthy. I wish the Vikings would have drafted him, and paired him with JJ for the next 5 years.

He had a TD and over 100 yards against the Eagles. So that is 6 TDs in 3 games.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (11/27/2022 10:41:46 PM)

But the best part was the Pukers losing !

I'm not impressed.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (11/28/2022 9:26:22 AM)

I am hoping Booth and Ingram start to play better, or it doesn't look good. 3 games is a small sample size.

Kid is looking like an absolute stud so far.

12 receptions, 265 yards, 22 YPC, 6 TDs in the past 3 games.

6'5, 200 lbs, 4.36 40, 38.5 Vertical.

Supposedly a good kid and teammate as well. And he's still quite raw with a lot more upside.

I'd be thrilled to have him as the heir apparent to Thielen.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (11/28/2022 4:08:42 PM)

Ricky, I wonder if Diggs had scored on that play, and then the officials noticed the 12th man, where would the ball have been spotted, or would an unsportsmanlike call have negated the INT ?

...to 52 thought the play was over. He runs directly toward Diggs as if to join the celebration, then appears to have an "aha" moment, realizes that a runback is in play, and makes a lame attempt at a block.

Well someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but it was a live ball foul so I'd say it wouldn't be a score. The foul happened after the int so I would say the int stands. I don't think it's a spot foul so I'd say at the end of the run. You're setting me up here. ;) I haven't officiated in years and it was high school and I wasn't wearing the white hat.

The thing about officiating on Friday nights is the parents want to scream at you for not calling it the way they see it happening on Saturday or Sunday.

Great question
