Jesus what an ass..

What kind of person develops the personality flaw that makes him think that this kind of overtly sexual behavior is appropriate in a professional session at a therapeutic practioners office or workplace..

And it’s not like this is an isolated incident where some gold digging might be in play..

He has a history of this crap..

Not the kind of character that would EVER be “ forgiven” by anyone.. IMO

Houston should eat the cap hit, the commissioner should suspend him.

If Ray Rice can be suspended for assault, wtf not Watson.

Total dirtbag.

Nobody will want Watson now.

I know pro athletes tend to be entitled little bitches but wow this guy takes the cake. His only hope is to go through some type of rehab and claim he's changed. Sort of like Favre back in the day with his opiates.

Or Vick with his dog killing.

Deshaun Watson signed a 4 year, $156,000,000 contract with the Houston Texans, including a $27,000,000 signing bonus, $110,717,123 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $39,000,000. In 2021, Watson will earn a base salary of $10,540,000, while carrying a cap hit of $15,940,000 and a dead cap value of $67,140,000.

Watson might have sabotaged himself for all we know. He's walking away with just under $110,000,000.00 no matter what.

Is there no clause in his contract that allows the Texans to void it for bad behavior?

Isn't there a personal conduct clause?

He got a couple dozen women to go in with him?

He is going to say later "it was all made up to get me out of town and the women were in on it". I think his lawyer would be facing jail time if that were to happen. if there are text/emails/social media posts from months ago...

I would say there is 0.00 % chance of that.

It’s all true he just stopped suppressing them. Or the team stopped. I’m merely suggesting that depending on how his contract works either side could feel like they’re hurting the other side by allowing this to get out.

Contractually there might be a higher evidence bar than the court of public opinion.

Wow. Can the team void any of that money for conduct issues, if this all gets proven out in court? That's a ton of money to lose.

I've been going to a massage therapist twice a month for two years and have an acquaintance friend that is also a massage therapist. Both of them have told me I'd shit myself if I knew how frequent this type of behavior is. We're not at the finish line just yet as a society.

Finish line?

We haven't even turned he first corner.

Bigotry hasn't been reduced or lessened. it was just forced into the shadows and reared its ugly head during the last Presidency. Now it is almost a badge of honor for some of these twits.

this kind of behavior is abhorrent and yet it is frequent behavior. Watson is probably thinking he did nothing wrong because he's been getting away with shit literally all his life because of his athletic abilities.

Our society has a long way to go. I actually think we pulled a Jim Marshall for the last few years and ran the wrong way.

There is always "conduct detrimental to the team".

Goodell can step in as well with commissioners exempt thing which AD was put on . But if I remember correctly he still got paid.

Whoo-hoo potentially more NFL play reviews!! More commercials, err "breaks".

The NFL's competition committee has endorsed six potential rule changes for the 2021 season, including a proposal that would expand the scope of information that replay officials could provide to on-field officiating crews during games.

Replay officials were already empowered to help referees with a limited suite of information, including such items as the correct time on the game clock and the correct down. This year's proposal adds to that list, if video available in the press box shows "clear and obvious" evidence. Replay officials -- as well as other members of the league's officiating department -- would be able to advise on possession, a completed or intercepted pass, whether a player is down by contact and the position of the ball relative to a line or boundary.

My hatred for review just got worse. I wish they would just get rid of it and make the refs on the field accountable for bad calls. Replay slows down the momentum of the game, and the process takes too long.

I agree. Replay reviews have become a beast that cannot possibly be fed.

Bruce Johnson -> RE: Other NFL News (4/1/2021 3:26:46 PM)

I love it. I guess I think differently. I like examining a play to figure out what the right call was. Sometimes even in slow motion it can not be determined, but I love the controversy and appreciate what the refs do, because overall they do a great job. Most of all, I do want to see the right call made so that the outcome can be fair, especially if it is a competitive game. If the score is 21-0 I probably already changed the channel or turned the game off if my team is losing. And if it makes the game last longer, that's good too. It prolongs what is one of my greatest pleasures. How can I dislike that?

If they had instant replay in December of 1975, the Vikings may have played in another Super Bowl.

If replay were used correctly, the Vikes also might have in the SB the year the refs heavily favored the Saints in OT.

The replay review is really fun for group conversation. I also find it helpful for learning intricate rules.
