ORIGINAL: Ricky J Do we have a winner? Haven't heard yet. Well the argument for not including the playoffs would be you'd never have a winner that was on a team that didn't make the playoffs. That's easy for us arm chair QBs to deal with but some damn good players would be eliminated due to team success ... and we're talking football where there are what we've always been told 3 phases (O, D, ST) to the game with 11 on a side at a time. Harder for one person to control the outcome as much as that sport that plays 5 v. 5. Do you mean, some good players would be eliminated because they were on non-playoff or on non-super bowl teams ? I would argue that all games (including playoff games and the SB) should be used as part of the evaluation. Yes Theoretically Really "big" games happen in the playoffs. A player who chokes in the playoffs, that SHOULD be a big part of the consideration.
