Why?

Did he kick your dog?

A reporter talking to him fell 8 feet in front of him and he walked away seeing it. It went viral but he didn't cause the accident but is helping her with any medical bills.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: Other NFL News (2/18/2022 9:51:52 AM)

Gotta be careful with that stuff. Some states, at least in the past, have laws that if you help you can also be help liable. Perhaps you made the injury worse. Or, in this lawsuit-oriented nation, you're gonna get sued regardless. The Good Samaritan law has changed that in some places.

So no, I don't think he was a "dick". Let qualified medical people assist the person. Isn't she the one with a fractured spine?

bohumm -> RE: Other NFL News (2/18/2022 10:01:23 AM)

Stafford showed not one iota of basic human compassion in the moment. He has since. If getting hammered veers you that far off course, maybe you're someone who shouldn't get that hammered, or maybe the alcohol reveal you.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: Other NFL News (2/18/2022 10:02:49 AM)

Just saw the video and he did look pretty callous.

Shhhit! I have two cats. And they both could take him.

"Np good deed goes unpunished" seems to be thrown about with more frequency nowadays.

Who's helping pay for it? Isn't it the Rams?

Stafford and his wife are paying her medical bills and replacing her broken equipment. He had a bad moment, so he's not perfect, but it doesn't necessarily make him a total ass either. But it was bad, no doubt.

Irrelevant. He could retire tomorrow and they'd be out Adams and Rodgers. Beyond stupid by both the Packers and Raiders. Derek Carr isn't Aaron Rodgers. Carr and Adams may have played together at Fresno State, but this is the NFL and those guys on the other side aren't New Mexico State.

If Raiders get their OLine squared away, that is an explosive offense. Carr is good.

It is very relevant. No way Rodgers stays in GB if Adams was traded away before he signed contract.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (3/18/2022 11:12:52 AM)

Carr is good, until there is pressure. May give you a good regular season, but will likely choke in the playoffs.

Carr is mediocre. He's crazy inconsistent. Looks good at times. Looks awful at others. Devante Adams is going to see his production drop by 15-20%, at a minimum. Hunter Renfro is going to need to see balls. Darren Waller is going to need to see balls. Josh Jacobs is going to get his reps. He's going to find life without Aaron Rodgers is very pedestrian.

He definitely won't get the targets he got in GB.

In the end, that was a big reason GB struggled offensively in playoffs. Reviews of GB/SF playoff game show a couple crucial plays where Rodgers forced it to Adams when other guys were wide open.

Green Bay lost in the playoffs because their special teams choked and they ran into a very good San Francisco team.

Special teams were awful.

Rodgers offense put up 10 points. Should have been 13 without blocked FG.

Rodgers was not good. He had about 5 throws where WRs bailed him out with shoestring catches. Plus the forced throws.

He was in a major argument/fight with Hardman during the playoffs plus Smith Schuster was signed...makes sense.
