Ian, about the stamina thing.. You don't want to waste skill points on stamina if you can avoid it. I try to get my player's stamina to a point where they can get a decent number of snaps without going too much below 75 on the energy bar, then just set my training focus to stamina and let it slowly rise throughout the season. Usually around 18-22 Stamina is enough to get you 50+ snaps a game. You eventually want it your stamina higher than that, but around 20 or so is enough so you don't have waste too many skill points on stamina. Also when you train on stamina as opposed to dumping skill points into it, you can see exactly how much you energy you need or don't need, so you know when you can stop training stamina and focus on something else. No sense in dumping skill points in stamina when you're energy meter isn't going below 70 after a game.

My guys at 25 stamina were all below 70 at 50 snaps? I play them on normal.

Ian's back will be the man early on, he'll need to pump it up past 22 IMO.

I know my linemen died early without stamina of 30 but I think linemen wear out fster than backs. We're looking at running Ian's back 75 times a game. [&:]

Duane Sampson -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/7/2008 2:30:19 PM)

Of course I'm kidding. It'll be more like 74 times. [;)]

Mark Duda -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/7/2008 3:02:15 PM)

It's just a matter of deciding whether you want to take more snaps early and sacrifice other skills, or concentrate on other skills and let your stamina build up slowly. Personally, I don't like spending SPs on stamina when I can train stamina. I HATE using SPs or equipment for stamina [X(]. My strategy with all my players is put a few initial SPs in stamina to get it to a barely acceptable point, then just train and forget about it if possible.

Duane Sampson -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/7/2008 4:26:54 PM)

I agree with you strategy, Mark. The difference is that most of our starters were backups and as we are building, the human guys are gonna get a lot of snaps and will need stamina. Everybody has their own preference, it's all good. I always put a point in stamina when I level. You can build what you like, no issue here! It's just great to have all our talkvikers together!

Duane Sampson -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/7/2008 4:37:09 PM)

Lynn needs to build a player. We need a chick on the team. [8|]

Ian Joseph -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/7/2008 5:01:09 PM)

What I was thinking of doing was buying a nice chunk of flex points and then buying a custom piece of equipment that boosted stamina significantly.. I was thinking maybe 20 points, at least..

I am training on stamina at relaxed, but that is doing nothing in the "offseason" and becuz my RB plays at the "hard" level, I wanted to make sure his wind wasnt an issue.

Duane Sampson -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/7/2008 5:18:25 PM)

Custom equip will only get you 6 skill points, Ian.

Ian Joseph -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/7/2008 5:23:51 PM)

Well that sucks.

Ian Joseph -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/7/2008 5:24:39 PM)

I am really gonna have to earn and work for all of these damn XP and boost points.

Duane Sampson -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/7/2008 5:45:02 PM)

Yeah, if it were that easy my guys would be level 100 right now! [&:]

Duane Sampson -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/7/2008 5:45:46 PM)

You should get really good game XP points. All of us should.

Ian Joseph -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/7/2008 10:13:55 PM)

Check out the folks I posted on our players to sign thread.  Three real potential monsters at WR.. One guy is an absolute killer right now.

Jim Frenette -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/11/2008 12:48:57 PM)

Toby I just accepted the new contract and went to buy equiptment and the first thing I see is buying a shirt. What's up with that?

Toby Stumbo -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/11/2008 2:21:09 PM)

You can buy a shirt, gloves, shoes, and head gear and add 1 skill point to each.  You can only wear one piece of each and make sure to equip them after buying them.

Jim Frenette -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/11/2008 3:44:08 PM)

Before I go any further, I choose black @ $500 and used speed with it. Am I on the right track?

Duane Sampson -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/11/2008 3:47:08 PM)

Yep. Do speed on all of them Fargo. Your LB needs wheels!

Jim Frenette -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/11/2008 3:52:10 PM)

Does it matter on color?

Thinking with speed I could at least be on the ST

Duane Sampson -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/11/2008 3:57:00 PM)

The color doesn't matter. And we need guys on ST!

Jim Frenette -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/11/2008 4:09:11 PM)

OK I purchased shirt, gloves, shoes, sheild and speed is now 14.5 and I'm still a lv3

Todd M -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/11/2008 4:40:25 PM)

Sheild?

I want a shield.

Todd M -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/11/2008 4:44:03 PM)

Oh, the visor.

I wasn't putting it past me to miss something. I already left a point on the table not equipping the first shirt I bought.

Duane Sampson -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/11/2008 5:40:46 PM)

Fargo, let us know when you level up. We'll help you with your attribute points.

I thought by getting the speed I would level up.

Duane Sampson -> RE: Goal Line Blitz Football (6/11/2008 6:36:45 PM)

No, you level up by training and game time experience. It'll happen.
