Anybody else enjoy Sergio's 13 on 15? It was kind of tin cup-ish even though he moved closer after the 1st water ball.

Patrick Reed and Marc Lieshman are both 5 under with McIlroy and Spieth one shot back. Tiger is a mere 9 shots off the pace, but still under the cutoff with a shot to spare. He's baaaaaaaaaack.

Nice win by Reed! AKA Captain America. Spieth and Fowler made it interesting, Rory was a non-factor.

As most know, I have a pretty cynical view of golf as a sport. I do have to admit, the Masters was pretty intriguing this year. Patrick Reed didn't seem to be an odds makers' or even fan favorite, but he outplayed the field and answered everyone of a series of challenges the last 2 days. Once he took the lead it seemed like one big name after another charged up the leader board and he didn't wilt under the pressure. He didn't pull a Norman.

What baffles me is that the PGA talking heads seemed disappointed that he won. I thought it was pretty obvious on the wrap up show that they would rather have been talking about Tiger, Rory, Spieth or just about any other of the big names. The best thing I heard about Reed was a grudging "well I guess the guy, who played the best, won."

Many consider Patrick Reed a villain: many stud golfers came from University of Georgia when he was a Freshman as he basically skipped his senior year of high school:

I became a Reed fan when he went against Rory in the Ryder Cup. That was Epic.

I have to admit on Sunday both my favorites ended up 1 & 2....Reed was the man at the Ryder Cup. I just like Fowler as he is the opposite of Reed .....he would hand the football to the ref after scoring a TD....I like both ends of the spectrum.

As big of a villain some make Reed to be he didn't say anything after Saturday....Rory was doing all the talking and Reed was watching the Golf Channel getting himself ready....then he kicked Rory's butt on the course again Sunday.

Pretty damn weird that his wife had his parents escorted away from US Open last year.....I think his parents are nut jobs.

I swear, either I'm losing my mind, or the "Other Sports" forum isn't working properly.

Where did the boxing discussions go? Or, the few MMA posts?

Clicking on "Other Sports" reveals "There is currently no message in this forum". But you can get to the golf talk, which is in the "Other Sports" forum. Confusing, and I haven't been drinking.

Anyway, Romero/Whittaker was a great fight tonight. Not completely on board with the decision, but great fight.
Whittaker broke his right hand in the first round, yet somehow gutted out 25 minutes. Took some serious blows from Romero, but kept coming and got the decision.

And, Holly Holm is one very impressive, strong, intimidating fighter. She's old, by athlete standards, but she doesn't perform that way.

Colby Covington finally backed up his big fat mouth and put on a clinic vs. dos Anjos.

Good fight night, and always better when Rogan is doing the color commentary. Best in the business, and it's not close.

This summer I've been taking my daughter, who's going into 10th grade next year, to the various golf courses she'll be playing in conference meets. We've been to Blackerry Ridge in Sartell, The Territory, in St. Cloud, and Rich Springs in Cold Spring. She threatened to break 100 at the Territory and Rich Springs before flubbing up near the end of the round.

Today we went the Pebble Lake in Fergus Falls and she finally broke 100 for the first time in her career. She made it interesting 4 putting the last green, but ended up with a 99.

We played Headwaters last summer. They had the Drive Chip and Putt there and we played after. They had something weird going on with a couple of holes closed on the back nine and some temporary holes in play. I don't remember how we did exactly. I think I was doing OK until the mickey mouse back 9 got to me.

I think Brie played Blueberry Pines in a middle school meet a couple of years ago.

We are going to Willmar tomorrow to play Eagle Creek. She played the front 9 in a JV meet this spring and I was down there to watch, so that half won't be new. We also have Alexandria left for the courses in her conference.

Blueberry is one of my favorite as it has some links holes (w/o much tree trouble) and also tight holes while always challenging. Headwaters has some of the quickest greens in the area....next to probably Oxbow/Edgewood in the Fargo area.
