ORIGINAL: odin I thought I'd put a few player opinions/observations here since it's been dead. Offense: I see Udoh in a lot of "53" projections as being a PS player. I hope to hell they aren't even considering that. I don't remember too many rookie OTs showing the flashes he does. He's steamrolled some guys like they are little kids and moves a lot better than I thought he was projected to move. I think he could be a starter eventually (probably sooner than later) and maybe a very good one. If he was a talented, "raw" 2nd or 3rd rounder, I'd be happy with what he's show so far, so I can't see taking any risks with him. Samia should be a lock over the usual deadwood we keep on OL, no Willie Beavers II here. Blasingame needs to be kept on the 53, I've also seen him being projected as PS material. I'd keep him over Ham if they can't keep both due to youth and upside. He has another gear that makes him a serious weapon compared to the usual FB. Jordan Taylor: did he even fight for the pass down the left sideline from Sloter? What good is a tall guy who is passive? I hope one or more of the young WR steps up very soon. Defense: I'm so glad we got odinBIGO back, I was pissed last year when they let him get away. He will be a nice addition to the d-line rotation. I'm hoping to see a big game from Hercules today. I'm hoping he provides some disruptive interior pass rushing and can be part of a Nascar package. I hope we can sign Kearse to an extension. He has looked outstanding and apparently has responded well to coaching. LBs: I want to see Barr rush the passer more and be part of the Nascar package. No other real strong opinions here other than why do we keep picking slow guys w/ limited cover skills? I'd rather have Kearse in the game than one of them. Are they trying to sneak Kris Boyd to the PS? I don't remember hearing his name during the games. I was hoping he'd be a nice addition and backup at least. Karter Schult looks more like a PS guy with pretty good upside. I thought he looked raw but seems to flash some pass-rush ability that is worth coaching up. It's unanimous between you and I. Agree with everything posted. I might add Watts to this list. J Johnson was supposed to be the DT of the future, but Watts has the frame to add weight and is looking very good early on. Very excited about some of the young oline talent. Line of the future: O'Neil, ? , Bradbury, Samia, Udoh. I'm hoping Elf proves me wrong, we might have to draft a guard pretty high next year. We will need to fill a couple holes: DT - Watts? CB (Be very interesting to see if Rhodes bounces back - if not, resigning Waynes might come into play) 3rd WR I forgot about Watts, good addition and agree!
