Zimmer also said play action passes are better under center, because it sucks the defense into the fake more effectively. "It's simple," he said.

Guess I just can't figure out why you wait damn near the whole year before you start playing to your teams strengths.

It's because coaches get so stuck in their ways and systems that they forget to play to their players strengths.

jezus, basically, just pull your head out of your ass and look at the scoreboard once in a while might work.

A young phenom touted mind in NFL, Flipp was hired to run his brand of O, never mind it not only didnt fit the players skill sets it was badly pitted against the HC philosophy...

The guy who set us up with this disaster should be next fired...

With 2019 being a UFA for Larry Fitzgerald does he have anything left to contribute to his hometown team as a WR3 replacement to Tread?

I only got to see the last quarter but the defense looked ferocious and that TD to Robinson was beautiful!

Question: Do you expect to see more runs?

Matt Birk: ... maybe a couple more but you are who you are. This team is at it's best when you throw to set up the run.

Zim's coaching record with running (I'm sure many of you have seen it but here it is anyway):

20+ runs a game, record is 45-14
-20 runs a game, 0-16-1

The old "why run and try to win 13-10 in this new age NFL?" will come up.

When actually if we run well we can play action and get medium to deep shots with passing game.

Vikes 41 Dolphins 17

Wow! Don't make foolish forecasts like this just to attempt to prove you're a bigger Vikings fan than another. This is as close to insane as you possibly be.

Vikings 23 Dolphins 20

And this is a stretch predicting a Vikings victory.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Foolish indeed.

Wow, nice call Mark! Hope you had some money on that! [&:]

Don't expect Douchbagman to show his face in here any time soon. At least not this week.

He should have come home 3 years ago. No reason for us to spend money on him now, he MIGHT be better than Treadwell now, but not to the level that we should expect going forward

Our DB's were really good today

Miami's 2 outside wr's were shutout until late in the 4th

Mac had a nice game in the slot as well

Ragnarök -> RE: General Vikes Talk (12/16/2018 6:28:11 PM)

Vikings owner Zygi Wilf was asked about head coach Mike Zimmer’s status after the win, which leaves them in playoff position with a 7-6-1 record. Wilf said “you shouldn’t even ask that question” before answering it with a strong show of support for the head coach.

“We’re very happy with the coach and the entire coaching staff,” Wilf said, via the Pioneer Press. “It’s great to be in this position in December, that’s for sure. I’m very proud we stepped up and answered any questions about who we were as a team. I think we showed we were one of the best and can beat anyone on any given day.”

Agreed. We need a shifty, chain mover.

Diggs, AT, Beebe's kid and Rob is a perfect combo, IMO, if they can all stay healthy. Big if. Get a burner TE (assuming Cook also stays healthy) and this O is pretty much unstoppable if we can get the line to a bare minimum of 'decent'.

Viking Rich -> RE: General Vikes Talk (12/16/2018 6:32:23 PM)

I would love to get Noah Fant from Iowa next year, but we probably won't be able to get him.

I think Jesse James from the Steelers is a FA next year. Dude is 6'7, with pretty good hands. Durable, and I don't think he's happy there.

Any interest?

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (12/16/2018 6:32:37 PM)

Good start, for the start of a 7 game win streak.
