Spurg coming alive
So are we.
This is a good team right now.
Not a Koivu fan but playing him with Donato is genius

SoMnFan -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/11/2020 7:52:58 PM)

Ear tugging sob.
He got us again Lynn [X(]

SoMnFan -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/11/2020 7:58:16 PM)

Guerin expects this team to make the playoffs.
So do I.
We’re pretty damn good again.

SoMnFan -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/11/2020 8:11:46 PM)

Suters like that 52 year old beer leaguer no one Fs with. 😀

kgdabom -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/11/2020 8:15:37 PM)

I'm watching the Wild. about the 3rd time all season.

kgdabom -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/11/2020 8:23:53 PM)

Liking this Fiala kid you guys are all bragging about.

SoMnFan -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/11/2020 8:24:57 PM)

Outstanding effort so far tonight.
Fiala continues to emerge.
Galchenyuk looking good.
Our D playing well. Stalock has been great.

SoMnFan -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/11/2020 8:32:15 PM)

Just pounding em.

I assume you mean physically. It's not televised for me but what I loved the other night was we were no longer nice guys. Remember when we would bitch because our guys would (almost) miss on purpose so they didn't hurt someone who was blocking their slapper?

I saw our guys, literally go, "are you this stupid? Ok, here it comes" the other night.

I respect the hell out of a guy that wants a 100 MPH piece of hardened rubber coming his way. That's your choice though guy, have at it is my philosophy.

kgdabom -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/11/2020 8:56:06 PM)

I picked a good time to start watching the Wild. [:D]

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/11/2020 8:56:15 PM)

Actually, just saw the scoreline. Not bad at all. 3/4 on the PP is a great night there. I think Fiala's recent surge has really put a jump in this team that was badly needed. Billy sending out a country club member doesn't hurt either (although I think it will be a major player that has to fall for us to really get this turned around longterm).

SoMnFan -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/11/2020 8:56:51 PM)

Just workin em Jeff
Physically and skill wise. In on their hands all night.
Not fun to play against right now.
Some nights we can be the worst in the league.
Some nights like tonight we are near the best.
Everyone buying in.
We have plenty of size and skill
Using it tonight.

SoMnFan -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/11/2020 9:02:42 PM)

20 tough minutes coming up
No let up boys.

kgdabom -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/11/2020 9:18:28 PM)

That Reaves guy doesn't belong in professional hockey IMO. Cross check from behind to the head. You call that playing hockey?

SoMnFan -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/11/2020 9:20:55 PM)

Like I said.
Reeves gives enforcers a bad name.
Cheap shot prick.
Most fighters aren’t like that.
A guy like Boogard was ten times the man this clown is.

SoMnFan -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/11/2020 9:25:52 PM)

Absolutely love how Stalock plays the puck.
LOVE it

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/11/2020 9:36:21 PM)

Yeah, he's a huge asset in that department.

Good to see when it works man. We can be very hard to play against.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/12/2020 6:42:44 AM)

Joel Eriksson Ek, Jared Spurgeon and Zach Parise scored with the man advantage, giving the Wild an NHL-leading 15 power-play goals in 33 opportunities over their last 11 games.
Parise has six during that span, also the most in the league. The majority of those contests have been at home, where Minnesota has the third-best power-play conversion rate in the NHL (27 for 93) at 29%.

Alex Stalock stopped 26 shots for his third shutout of the season, making him 12-5-3 in his last 20 decisions as he keeps pushing to become the team's top goalie. The Golden Knights had 12 goals in their previous two games.

He literally started over half the breakouts and got us going the right direction every time Vegas dumped the puck in. You can just see how much easier life is for our defense men when Stalock is in the game doing his thing.....love his play!

stfrank -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/12/2020 7:00:04 AM)

The Wild played a perfect game plan against Vegas plugging up neutral ice and forcing them to dump and chase. Stalock beat them to almost every puck, made a play, and we were back on the attack one pass later.....

Phil Riewer -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/12/2020 7:18:52 AM)

Apparently Dumba did something right last night:
Reaves went after Koivu twice and Ryan Donato and Matt Dumba one time each but seemed to be a nonfactor after a first-period shift in which Dumba appeared to slash Reaves in, let’s call it, the nether regions.

Phil Riewer -> RE: Wild 2019/2020 Season (2/12/2020 7:20:22 AM)

We also played this well against the AVs except for the GoalTender.....

Agree 100%

That's why our coach looks like an IDIOT for playing a goalie who will not win you games right now.
This has to be fixed.
I don't care what his thinking is, its WRONG.
Stalock isn't the long-term answer, no one is saying he is.
But playing Dubnyk is playing to lose. And someone needs to answer for that.
Stalock has the fans, he has the national media, and most importantly, he has the locker room.
That game could have, would have, been 2-0 or 3-0 Vegas, before we ever got going.
He isn't just a cool story right now, he's a good goalie giving all he has.

They collectively answered that big dumbasses attacks.
I'm no Koivu fan, but damn glad our guys had enough.
Soucy was the main protector, he refused to let Reeves get to Koivu.
Loved how it backfired on them, because we MADE THEM PAY on the PPs.
