Rhodes can't play like he used to because he has a target on his back. He was always a physical player who grabbed a lot. The PI against him in the first half, the ball was 3 yds out of bounds. Apparently he can't adjust or won't. Time to cut bait. One of the plays that irked me was, the first Bronco drive. Barr seemed uninterested. He is easily our biggest Jekyll & Hyde player. Is either lights out or I want Wilson to replace him.

Speaking of which, after the Gideon got torched, I saw a lot more Wilson. Which was great. Except for the punt Encroachment penalty.

He went and totally redeemed himself with the fumble recovery late ….

It was a nice job by Stefanski and co. The issue was that they knew they would be running a lot of 2 minute offense plays for an entire half and that is a small subset of plays. They were running the same plays, but disguising the formations, so the Broncos wouldn't be able to sniff them out.

Denver knew what we were, a running team leaning on Cook, as well they knew the schemes and ideology of Kubiak... We came out with Zimmer having tablet in hand, sticking his nose into offensive playcalling and working hard off an sheet prepared with Zim and Kub philosophy...

It was evident, as evident as how we started the season and self proclaimed "that 70s's Offense" our HC is sure will win games while coupled with his vaunted D...

Well guess what... BOTH FAILED

Step pulled out a whiteboard and a breath of fresh air overtook the offense with what a entire first half could not do... We were countering their punches, using fresh new schemes and calling plays that the D didnt see coming... It won the game, along with Kirk and our offense executing. Why? because even us as fans could call the plays that would be run next in first half... second half was different...

Will we see more of this? With our HC, doubt it... And the HC's D remains truly troubling BTW!

Denver had 2 weeks to prepare and Fangio has ate our lunch the last couple years.

The whole coaching staff made adjustments at halftime and we outscored them 27-3.

If you want to believe that Stephanski was making up plays, go for it. The Rudy TD was a play we have run many times. Dalvin screen many times before.

The RPO(or really good play action) where we went deep to Diggs might have been drawn up on the fly.

This is one spot where the great QBs never fail. If someone jumps early, Rodgers always takes a shot deep. Never fails. Worst case they intercept and the play is nullified. Best case is a catch for TD or PI.

Cousins needs to recognize that and take the shot no matter how well covered his guy is...perfect time to force one in there.

Probably the only reason I haven't nominated Cousins for the HOF this week.
Not sure I've ever been madder at a QB (for that play you mentioned)
Makes you look very very frightened/dumb/unaware when you throw a 2 yard dump off in that situation.
Had some people at the game, they said Diggs was LIVID that they didn't take a shot.
I'm hoping Kirk simply had a moment of spacing out and was unaware, because if he knew, and still settled for that, I'll be very disappointed.
In another "then you go and totally redeem yourself" moment, he certainly made us forget about that one play. But agree … at the time it was a brutal "WTF???" moment.
