Dang. I was kind of hoping for QB Morgan.

Wonum sounds like a physical freak.

Very athletic

Basically free agency and draft up has filled the losses

Linval, Waynes, Everson, Alexander, Diggs.

While adding a high ceiling lineman

Defensive linemen are irrelevant. Ask Houston.

kgdabom -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/25/2020 12:06:18 PM)

Morgan goes before Fromm.

Lindy's has Bredeson as their #1 OG

Fromm is a bum. Wildly inconsistent.

Stenberg gone now. Only potential guard left is Biadasz.

I like Runyan better than Biadasz but theres not much after that.

Bredeson
Muti
Lemieux

Muti is dropping like a rock. Teams not willing to risk him due to medical concerns. Lemieux or Biadasz look like the best available.

Muti and Biadasz just dont move well enough to be effective in our scheme.

I know nothing about Bredeson or Lemieux.

That being said ... I’ll take any guard at this point and trust Dennison.

We have not yet addressed our biggest need! With a gazillion picks in the bank.

You mean when Watt goes down with an injury and they trade away Clowney, the corners start to look worse.

Vikings have two picks coming up soon. Watch us get sniped by the one in-between them.

Badass and Proche would be nice..or
Badass and Robertson...or
Badass and Fromm

Cornerback I wanted Reggie Robinson gone.

Get Robertson.

Do we have a guy that specializes in slot? Other than CFL guy.

Boyd or Fields maybe? I don't know.

Their corners are terrible. They've spent more money than any team on the planet on defensive linemen. It doesn't matter if you can't cover anyone. It's 2020, not 1970.

Lol. Yeah. Stupid San Fransisco

Chris Olson -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/25/2020 12:09:23 PM)

Lemieux might be good fit as athletic enough for pulling as such as WCO type OG

Tim Cady -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/25/2020 12:09:44 PM)

Per progootballrumors: Mike Garafolo of NFL Network notes (on Twitter) that a contract extension isn’t in place. Williams has been seeking a new contract that would make him one of the highest-paid lineman in the NFL. Those contract demands ended up influencing the Redskins’ return in a trade; while plenty of teams were reportedly interested in trading for Williams, they were wary of signing him to a long-term deal. Williams has one year and a $12.5MM base salary remaining on his current contract.

Interestingly, a new deal for Williams is not part of the deal with the Niners, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com (on Twitter) hears. Had Williams gone to the Vikings, he would have received a fresh pact to reposition the tackle market. The Vikes deal fell through, however, because Williams did not want to go to Minnesota, Rapoport hears. The Browns also were in the mix – and long believed to be the frontrunners – but the 49ers and Vikings were the last teams left in the sweepstakes (Twitter link).

The Buccaneers and Jets were also connected to Williams in recent weeks, but they opted for younger (and cheaper) offensive line help in the first round of the draft instead. At No. 11, the Jets landed Mekhi Becton, who shoves defensive linemen and trucks with ease. At No. 13, the Buccaneers got Iowa’s Tristan Wirfs, who offers four position potential and ridiculous athleticism

Patterson I'm sure is all over this pick and I trust him based on his track record.

Agreed

Mr. Ed -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/25/2020 12:10:07 PM)

Jerry Jones having some assistant run his phone has been pretty bizarre to watch on the yacht cam.

Don T in CO -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/25/2020 12:12:44 PM)

Chris Tomasson
@christomasson
#Vikings DE D.J. Wonnum had 4 1/2 sacks last year for SC. Draft analyst Dane Brugler says: "Wonnum relies more on his motor than instincts as a pass rusher, but he has a projectable frame and uses his hands to free himself, projecting as a backup pass rusher with starting upside"

Sam Ekstrom
@SamEkstrom
D.J. Wonnum is a classic #Vikings edge pick. Low production but an amazing athletic profile.

Chris Tomasson
@christomasson
#Vikings GM Rick Spielman on D.J. Wonnum: “He’s a long, athletic defensive end. He ran 4.6 at the combine…. I know the success we have had and Coach Andre Patterson has had with these long athletic defensive ends and I know our coaches can’t wait to get their hands on him.’’

kgdabom -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/25/2020 12:12:46 PM)

Dude can play

Don T in CO -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/25/2020 12:15:48 PM)

Top 5 on PFFs board hasn't changed in a while

26. EDGE CURTIS WEAVER, BOISE STATE
Weaver's athleticism or lack thereof is terrifying. He doesn't have a body of work against quality tackles to prove it won't matter, but we've also never seen an edge dominate the group of 5 to the degree Weaver did.

37. IOL NETANE MUTI, FRESNO STATE
Muti has all the tools to be an elite guard in the NFL. We'd be talking about him in much higher esteem had he not had his last two seasons cut short with injury.

48. WR TYLER JOHNSON, MINNESOTA
Johnson may not wow with his speed or burst, but no testing number is going to capture the way he subtly sets up defenders snap after snap to get himself open. Some NFL team is getting a hell of a route runner.

49. CB BRYCE HALL, VIRGINIA
Hall is very much a silo type of cornerback, but in that silo you're going to have a difficult time beating him. With plus length and ball skills, Hall should rack up his fair share of PBUs in the league.

53. S GENO STONE, IOWA
Stone is one of the most underrated safeties in the draft class. His processing and quicks are a fit for every defense in the NFL. You may not want him in the box, but he can easily rotate between deep and the slot.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/25/2020 12:16:34 PM)

kgdabom -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/25/2020 12:17:06 PM)
