Lemieux gone. No guards left.

Not true.

Prince Tega Wanogho, Auburn
Jon Runyan, Michigan
Julian Good-Jones, Iowa State
Jared Albers, Washington (although he's 6-7)
Tremayne Anchrum, Clemson
Jonah Jackson, Ohio St.
All would come in and compete for a roster / practice squad spot.

I thought Jackson was gone and Prince is a Tackle. Don't care about the others.

Man, I'm going to be really bummed out if there is no football this year.

Not with packed fans in the stands. There may be a major shift in professional sports venues going forward where they will control fan attendance.

I think there will be football this year. People will have to be tested and/or vaccinated like we all were for polio, but there will be football and fans for most of the season. (I hope....)

Vaccine probably not available in time. If infection rates have slowed - I could see screening (temp) at gate. But imagine a guy has a temp gets denied and then tests negative. Masks mandatory.

More likely is a game played in empty stadiums.

Not sure what sources you are watching, but yesterday we had the most infections of any one day to date.

Difference between the 81st and 89th is 40 points. The 117th is 60 points. That fourth would have taken us to the 77th pick.

A 7th would have taken us from 105 to 101. Dantzler would have had to fall 12 spots.

I agree with this. We should have moved up in the 3rd and Spielman said he tried but couldn't make a deal. "Teams were not trading early in the 3rd round and couldn't find a partner." A lot of good DTs went in front of us in this round. I think we got sniped there. Then stayed where we were. Took Dantzler there just to make sure we didn't lose him. On the board I had... Dantzler was ranked 132 overall.

I think they wanted Justin Madubuike.

Goal for day 3? Intelligence and the physical ability to develop.

Pager has pick 117 being worth 60 points. I saw that pick 105 was worth 31 points and the picks we got combined were worth 30. Very different charts.

Here's my source.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/draft/draft_trade_value.htm

Your source said it would take the 89, 105 and 117 to move up 8 spots. I'd love to see your source.

Thanks. You're using the traditional Jimmy Johnson Chart. I'm using the updated one.
https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart-Rich-Hill.asp

I like yours better. The 89 plus 117 would net the 70 using this chart. Mine had it only getting us to the 77.

Yeah that appears to be right. Wonder why the Vikings didn't do it.

I'm guessing that where the Vikings staff sees their existing roster (2nd-3rd year players about to hit prime time) may not always jibe with what the MMQs see. Maybe they feel like the get of Cleveland allows them to move Udoh inside?

kgdabom -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/25/2020 1:35:36 PM)

We gave the Bears this pick must be for 2021.

Recap of 4th:

Wonnum - project DE. Makes sense. I trust Patterson.

Lynch - a Jalyn Holmes type player. Tweener.

Troy Dye - value pick. Athletic LB.

All the while some decent IOL come off the board. I think everyone should go back to their draft positions of need. Where did IOL rank for you?

I did a quick review and the lowest it looked was 3rd. Most had it #1 or #2.

Lemieux and Badass are the last two significant IOL on the board I think.
Lynch was ridiculously productive. Maybe he plays better than his measurables.

Exactly what we said about Holmes, And Mutafa.

Chris Olson -> RE: NFL Draft 2020 (4/25/2020 1:35:47 PM)

did we get a 2021 pick?

Chris Tomasson
@christomasson
#Vikings GM Rick Spielman on Troy Dye: “Long, linear, athlete that has great range to cover the field. I see him coming in and contributing right away not only as a backup but contributing on special teams as well.’’

Flipmazzi
@Flipmazzi
Troy Dye was PFF's 5th best LB in this class. 397 tackles in a 4-year career under 3 different head coaches and defensive coordinators. 21 PBUs and 5 INTs he's a modern day NFL LB,who could turn into a fun box-safety. Undeniable value on special teams here too

Kenny Robinson now. One safety left Geno Stone. Really seems like better players in the 5th than 4th.

Mayden and JR Reed ranked ahead of K'von Wallace by nfl.com

And very bit as good Stone. Just a different flavor.

Metellus would be a solid pick also.

Increased testing elevates the numbers. One of the facilities I monitor had 2 people test positive a month ago. Now, all six guys tested positive this past week. No symptoms or anything. Testing is the key.

2021 4th from Bears for #155

Vikings PR
@VikingsPR
Minnesota trades the 10th pick of the fifth round (155th overall) to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a 2021 fourth round selection

We've tested about 1.56% of the population to date. Increased testing where?
