Rather we picked up Thaddeus Moss instead of this "soon to be released" Reese guy.

Here's good news. We all could use some good news this morning.

Amazing news: #Bengals CB Mackensie Alexander’s father, Jean Odney Alexandre, was found ALIVE this morning, three days after he went missing in Florida, I’m told (as @JayMorrisonATH said). Mackensie and other family members are on their way to see him now.

(Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

Edit: Just realized that it had already been shared. My bad.

I certainly did after reading a tweet that he was struggling.

He's the first drafted casualty of camp right?

I believe so.

In this tweet is a video of Dozier looking really futile with his blocking assignments.

Whoever that monster DT is that Dozier was trying to block needs to be promoted pronto.

The Bengals got some good news Thursday morning, that had nothing to do with football.

According to Jay Morrison of TheAthletic.com, Bengals cornerback Mackensie Alexander’s father has been found alive.

His father had been missing since Monday night, after a berry-picking trip in Florida. Alexander left camp, and was arrested Tuesday night for one charge of battery against the person last seen with his father.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office said the man walked up to the ranger station at the Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park at 7:15 a.m., and was “in good health and will be turned over to family members.”

Alexander and other family members are on their way to see him now, a welcome dose of good news.

I was concerned that episode could have lessened his playing time, ergo our comp pick.

The strangest part of this is that it took him 3 days to contact anybody. Maybe just lost in the wilderness with no cell phone. He rambled around for three days before finding civilization.

Early onset dementia, possibly? At least he's healthy and home.

Yep. He's OK and that's what matters.

That headline that Mac was arrested was just horrible clickbait. Knowing it could be construed that Mac was somehow involved in his father's disappearance. Whoever, was responsible for that is scum IMO.

It was true he was arrested. It wasn't click bait and by no means did it insinuate he was involved in his fathers disappearance. Quite the opposite as that he assaulted the man last seen with his father looking for answers. Mac was in Cinn monday practicing with the team when his father disappeared.

All this was was you jumping to false conclusions by only reading the headline.

Source said the #Vikings players held an emotional two-hour meeting this morning and ultimately chose to practice. They're taking the field now.

Exactly. A headline gives a generic 'what happened'. Usually one just has to read a little into the BODY of the article to get most of who, what, when, where stuff.....

Ludford out with a new article. It must be hard to write these days with limited practices and no games. Regardless, this is interesting to me.

I do agree with Brad that we have ignored the oline for a decade and build from the outside in.

But bringing up the Peterson vs Ben Grubbs draft doesn't hold much water. One is a first ballot HOFer and the other is helping Brad sell sunglasses.

How many Super Bowls did we win with Peterson? Don't get lost in the numbers. We would have been a better team with Grubbs and more attention to the offensive line.

Peterson was a major distraction and gave us one of the most predictable offenses in the league. In his 10 seasons in Minnesota, the Vikings only once ranked inside the top 11 in points scored in the league.

2016, 23rd
2015, 16th
2014, 20th
2013, 15th
2012, 14th
2011, 19th
2010, 29th
2009, 2nd
2008, 12th
2007, 15th

Last I looked, the object was to outscore the opponents, not to have a one-trick pony at running back that can't catch or block with a propensity to fumble at inopportune times. How many solid offensive lineman did we look past in free agency because we were giving Peterson the island of Curacao to play running back?

Can you name the last Patriot to lead the league in rushing?

From 2007 to 2016, the Vikings might as well have been playing football in the 1970's. I was literally calling about 70% of the plays from my couch before the ball was ever snapped.

Yes, he was a great home run hitter. So was Dave Kingman and Jose Canseco.

And oh yea, he beat his toddler with a stick. Probably not the look the franchise was going for when they opened the new stadium, with Peterson being the face of the organization.

I hold nothing back on Peterson. I still think he's one of the most overrated players that has ever played in the league. He was great for fantasy teams and sold a lot of jerseys. Aside from that, he plays a position that is a dime-a-dozen.

Patriot leading rushers by year:
2019 Sony Michel
2018 Sony Michel (SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS)
2017 Dion Lewis (LOST IN SUPER BOWL)
2016 LeGarrette Blount (SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS)
2015 LeGarrette Blount
2014 Jonas Gray (SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS)
2013 Stevan Ridley
2012 Stevan Ridley
2011 Benjarvis Green-Ellis (LOST IN SUPER BOWL)
2010 Benjarvis Green-Ellis
2009 Laurence Maroney
2008 Sammy Morris
2007 Laurence Maroney (LOST IN SUPER BOWL)

Not a lot of Hall of Famers on that list. Just a bunch of guys with rings, or chances to earn one.
