I love Diggs. Said it the day he was drafted he was a steal
But they really need to just trade him. He hates Cousins
Everyone on the team see this, and doesn’t add to team unity
If you can get a good online guy for him I’d do it in a heartbeat
Star WRs are very expendable

Yep, that Kirk Cousins signing will sure pay such great dividends toward the future of the Vikings...

First year it was he and Thielen were not on same page and at odds, culminating in screaming matches on sidelines... last year it was Rudy was frustrated with Kirk and his role before season started, looked like Rudy would be gone... Then morphed into full blown discourse with Diggs to point now our perceived diva best receiver wants out of town at all costs since they extended KFC...

What do Kirks main receiving weapons all have against him?

It pisses them off when he distributes the ball evenly and puts up pro bowl numbers?

We need a LG

Get to the point and cut all the frivolous roundabout frothy bullshit Bill.

(maybe there are better descriptions than 'frothy bullshit')

Bruce Johnson -> RE: General Vikes Talk (3/16/2020 8:00:34 PM)

Jayron Kearse and Stefon Diggs are real good friends. Both seem to not like the situation in Minnesota.

I mean If there was a time the Vikings were going to trade Diggs, it would be now. The draft is super super deep at WR.

Hopefully Kirk is the sign and trade and Diggs stays.

I would enjoy the sound of that, and now that SF traded Buckner to Colts for their first round pick they have the ammo to tempt us since reuniting with Shanny wont happen next year for Cousins as speculated all along in SF because of the extention.

Could get interesting... But more likely they extend our HC and GM and its biz as usual and they move on from habitual problem child Diggs...

Why wouldn't the trade happen next year after signing an extension vs it not happening this year?

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/03/16/kirk-cousins-becomes-highest-paid-player-again-for-now/

Cousins will make $150.5 million over five years with the Vikings

Seems like a bargin for what he has brought to the team....

Frothy beer sounds good

Random musings

2023 Cousins cap hit 45ml...that has a short timer GM written all over it. Can you say cap hell for the next gm.

We can't afford Ant Harris. We need a LG.

Did I mention we need a LG?

Bill Jandro -> RE: General Vikes Talk (3/16/2020 9:06:30 PM)

Is there anyway we can pry Joe Thuney from Bellecheats cold dead hands?

Ragnarök -> RE: General Vikes Talk (3/16/2020 9:14:38 PM)

Stephen Weatherly agrees to terms with Carolina Panthers

We just franchised Ant; We freed up a ton of money cutting Rhodes and Joseph. We have 15 Millino in cap space after franchising Ant for 11 Million.

Diggs traded to Bills

Vikings Trade WR Stefon Diggs To Bills
March 16th, 2020 at 9:37pm CST by Ben Levine
This is breaking news. Please refresh for updates.

We’ve got our second major wide receiver trade of the day. Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reports (via Twitter) that the Vikings are trading star wideout Stefon Diggs to the Bills. ESPN’s Adam Schefter has full details on the swap (Twitter link):

To Minnesota: 2020 1st-round pick, 2020 5th-round pick, 2020 6th-round pick, 2021 4th-round pick
To Buffalo: Diggs, 2020 7th-round pick

Ragnarök -> RE: General Vikes Talk (3/16/2020 9:51:01 PM)

Great no plug in OL player, just more picks for ol Spiels to screw up in his final flame out tour with Zimmer...

Pager -> RE: General Vikes Talk (3/16/2020 9:51:54 PM)

We did much better than Houston.

Now we can afford a LG [:-]

kevinemmer -> RE: General Vikes Talk (3/16/2020 9:53:29 PM)

Hmm ok
Can’t complain too much.
Up to Spiels to hit on the picks!

Ragnarök -> RE: General Vikes Talk (3/16/2020 9:54:47 PM)

Well there goes the value of my 2017 game worn and autographed Diggs Jersey with cert of authentication nicely framed...

Any offers? Im though with it...

Arlowe84 -> RE: General Vikes Talk (3/16/2020 9:55:15 PM)

Buffalo will be SICK!

Phil Riewer -> RE: General Vikes Talk (3/16/2020 9:57:37 PM)

That is a great haul for Diggs.

A fifth round pick remember

David F. -> RE: General Vikes Talk (3/16/2020 10:03:30 PM)

Perhaps there was nothing we could do to keep him. Dang it though he was our best player on offense.

Would have rather had players. Picks are risky.

Ragnarök -> RE: General Vikes Talk (3/16/2020 10:05:22 PM)

What will be left at Buffalo spot, pick 22 or do we now package picks to trade up?

I see the GM going all in if there is still no extentions for himself and coaching by draft time...

Pager -> RE: General Vikes Talk (3/16/2020 10:07:53 PM)

Bills get him for the next 4 yrs at 12/M per.

If I'm a Bills fan, I'm very excited right now.

Arlowe84 -> RE: General Vikes Talk (3/16/2020 10:09:37 PM)

Let’s be clear, this makes the team immediately worse.
Trader Rick taking a big gamble, in what was already likely his last year
Needs to rebuild secondary, oline, dline and now WR
Wow this could be a loooong year
