I remember Bradford and Teddy collecting pay checks and not playing all year and when Kirk gets Covid....oh my.

Cook, Thielen, and Smith also got COVID and missed game (s) and nothing....all pretty religious and nothing....but Kirk lets villify him. Seems some are still butt hurt we didn't keep the lesser arm talent Case around.

The stars aligned for Case that year and he still hasn't out produced any of Kirks seasons...but people just don't get it.

I remember watching Dan Fouts and the reason why he never won a Super Bowl was never him or the offense. The GM didn't build a complete team around him. (Same thing applies to Bradford). If you think Mahomes and Josh Allen can do it all themselves.....this year should have proven it to you. FYI KC and Buffalo had more complete teams than the Vikings and it was on the other side of the ball that we had issues with.

There is a little difference between missing time and collecting a paycheck when your knee explodes and when you steadfastly refuse to get vaccinated, putting yourself and teammates at a higher risk of catching a deadly virus.

I and a few others ripped Cook, Thieln and Smith when they caught covid. They, like Cousins, made incredibly uninformed, selfish and stupid decisions that put themselves above their teammates. We had an epidemic of leaders not acting like leaders.

Who's spreading the virus?

Anyone who catches it can spread it.

Ronnie Lott sacrificed a finger to keep playing in 1985. A bunch of entitled pussies wouldn't even get a vaccine to help their chances of staying on the field in 2021. Spin it any way you want.

Phil Mackey 🎙@PhilMackey·2h"Zimmer complained openly in coaching meetings about Cousins, and some of Zimmer’s top lieutenants echoed the sentiment. Zimmer didn’t feel the quarterback made enough 'winning plays' ... and that he didn’t elevate his teammates."

Chad Graff@ChadGraff
Towards the end of his tenure, Mike Zimmer bemoaned Kirk Cousins to several within the Vikings.

Now, if the Vikings keep Cousins, it’s a bet Kevin O’Connell can connect with the QB in ways Cousins’ previous coaches couldn’t. See Story:

Wish I could've read the whole article...

Weird to agree with the guy we booted but his statements ring true.

Too bad for every finger pointed at Cousins 3 more could point back to Zim. His MOAP D was probably worse than any throw Cousins didn't make. His pussified coaching certainly cost us games.

Did the rules change? Yes.

Because the NFL figured it out that they made no sense.

These guys are vindicated each and every time a shot or mask mandate falls by the wayside.

Todd M -> RE: General Vikes Talk (2/28/2022 12:13:06 PM)

I honestly don't care at all anymore.

Cases are 4 to 6 times higher here now as they talk about opening it right up. No more passports to sit and eat dinner, no more capacity limits, mask mandates to drop soon as well vs when they shut everything tf down.

Comes down to protecting yourself is a smart thing to do but it doesn't go much beyond that. Save for the environments of the most vulnerable.

No free healthcare if you're unvaxxed though.

It would be a whole different ballgame if the shots actually prevented the contraction and spread of it.

They don't.

So, get the shot if you have problems and believe in it. Or don't if you follow the data that says you are in the 99.97% category. Or still get it if you are in that category. Whatever.

To each his own at this point until they come up with something that is capable of stopping the spread.

Tell me the players with no shots that are draining the system. I'm open to changing my mind if you have some facts about the situation we are talking about.

Maybe a story about how Jack Youngblood played with a broken leg .

The point, to me anyway, wasn't about relying on the NFL and their 2600 or so players to stop the pandemic. It was about taking a vaccine to increase the chance that each player wouldn't have to miss games. A simple and helpful gesture was all that was needed. It was no different than other seemingly insignificant regulations like having to wear one of the NFL-chosen helmets. Or maybe Antonio Brown was some kind of American hero for fighting against that? Does he have a convoy of pussies traveling for that cause too maybe?

I get that was your point.

The players who didn't get shots believe in their decision. It is a diverse group so it is hard to pin down their reluctance on just one factor.

But, I'm sure one factor was that they are at virtually no risk of long term problems or dying. If the shots worked like the measles or polio vaccines and actually prevented the disease, it would be a different story.

Vindicated? Hey, whatever turns you on even if its false.

The mandates are falling by the wayside because the environment has changed. Specifically, the virus is less deadly, and many more people have now been vaccinated and boosted, or have caught the virus and have antibodies.

Re the bolded, Canada again shows it is smarter than the U.S.

As far as cases, you might be behind the US but cases/deaths here have decreased at an incredible rate in just the last month or two. So, hopefully you will see the same thing, and soon.
