Im a little late on Sloter signing but...

ohhh, does anyone else feel the flex of power in the building here?

Spiels way overpaid to bring Sloter in years back and guy was a legend in preseason.

Zimmer never missed an opportunity to talk shit about Kyle and gloated about how bad a practice guy he was... We all know he gave Kirk the yipps looking over shoulder at a fan favorite... Zimmer had total disdain for Sloter and he was sent packing...

As well I see Sloter was put on the Active roster over Mond and not just added to practice squad..

Well thats a BIG F U C K YOU to Zimmer now as in dont let the door hit you in ass Mikey...

Last flex by Spiels? maybe but he just pulled one on Zimmer... THIS SHIT IS FUNNY!

Mond is on the active roster too. It’s not until game day that they have to deactivate players.

So it’ll be interesting to see who is #2 and who is inactive Sunday.

I just saw that John Madden died. I wasn’t a big fan, but he was a football icon.

Greatest color guy in the history of the NFL. Revolutionized the job in the booth. The sweat contest. Hilarious comments.

Once said about Leroy Hoard; "If you need one yard, he'll get you three. If you need five yards, he'll get you three."

Madden was the best. It wasn't an act. Just a genuine football guy.

Yes!!!!!!

As of yesterday you could get a lower level ticket on the 30 yard line for as low as $160. It will be $120 by Friday.

I'll be watching it comfortably in a controlled 72 degrees from my couch. You'd have to pay me $10,000 to do it in that kind of weather.

It really is too bad their isn't NFL Europe or an XFL type of thing where NFL teams could play QB's under their contractual control to find out if they have what it takes.

It would help cleanup the 'crapshoot' at the position and I think if teams could assign players to these lower levels there would be some fan interest.

I would watch XFL, AFL ... if Sloter was playing and was a Viking under contract.

I agree. a developmental league would be a great idea. I think the NFL teams don't like the idea for fear of one of their guys getting injured. Plus the costs of running the league to begin with.

There is times where I can barely watch the Vikings with Cousins, let alone the Tampa Bay Vipers with Sloter.

Who starts in place of Udoh, Wyatt Davis or Dakota Dozier?

I had a friend who went to the SF game. He sat next to Davis' dad. He said his son was doing most of his work at Center.

This is another thing that makes me nuts. Davis was a 5 star recruit out of high school at guard. He was an All Big 10 selection and a 1st team All American selection at guard. He was drafted as a guard. But, we think that a not very good offensive line coach is going to turn him into a center?

Welcome to the MN Vikings' practice field, where tackles are made to play guard, guards are made to play center, and the player with the most clout starts unless injured with no regard to talent or past performance. Who plays tackle you ask? The one good one of course and then whatever garbage we have lying around can play left tackle because as we know, left tackle is the most meaningless and least important of the spots. Just put wrestlers in at all the spots if possible.

Thatd prob work

- just a tip: if you're going to make fun of wrestlers you should probably keep it over the net and not face-to-face

I don't see that I made fun of wrestlers.

It struck me as being very complimentary to wrestlers.

It didn't have anything to do with wrestlers themselves but rather how the team seems to talk up their picks for the line by saying he was a wrestler. Was he? Great! Can he play his position well? No? Then who cares if he was a wrestler.

That might explain all the "holds". [;)]

Update: As of this moment $90 gets you in the door, $149 gets you lower level 30-yard line

And heading into the meaty part of his contract (17M / 18M / 17M 2022-2024).

2022
Thielen and Jefferson 17+3.5 ... 20.5M

Other top combos in 2022

Kupp and Woods 18 + 16 ... 34M
Golladay and Shepard 21 + 12.5 ...32.5M
Cooper and Lamb 22 + 4 ... 26M
Diggs and Beasley 17.5 + 7.5 ... 25M

*rounded to half millions

I’m from Canby. I’m friends with Gerry Gingles. You don’t need to worry that I don’t have a deep appreciation for wrestling.

I've always agreed in theory that the QB is so important there should be some dev league...

But in reality... NFL Europe, XFL, Arena League & CFL never really produced much.

Kurt Warner is the amazing exception.
Maybe some NFL Europe guys... I can't remember.

I don't know if it's lack of opportunities or if there just isn't enough talent to develop.
