I have a feeling Hooker will still be around in the 2nd round, and the Vikings will take him with their pick from trading down their 1st rounder. I am going to make that prediction in the draft predictions challenge, hoping it won't happen. I would be ok with taking a flyer on Hooker in the 3rd round or later.

Take a late round flyer on Stetson Bennett IV. Icewater coolness in the run to two national championship wins. Replace Mullens. Some other late round prospects (per SBNation; Stetson went in the 5th and Duggan in the 6th): Seventh round (The Brock Purdy round) 224. Atlanta Falcons, Aidan O’Connell, Purdue Desmond Ridder gets a potential backup ... or a competitor. 232. Green Bay Packers, Clayton Tune, Houston: There’s some intangibles here to like —experience, production, leadership. Tune would be a little Jordan Love insurance in the post-Aaron Rodgers world. 233. Washington Commanders, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, UCLA: Washington is far from set at this position. Thompson-Robinson is worth the late lottery ticket and to keep him from the undrafted free-agent market.

DTR looks great on highlights. Throws with touch, throws with velocity, is quick to react to pressure, see things quickly, makes great throws on the run, etc .... Wish he was 2 inches taller than 6'1", and wonder if he has enough arm strength. Worth a shot as a 3rd rounder, maybe even 2nd after trading down with the 23rd pick. Vikes can do similar to Washington, trade up for Anthony Richardson, and select DTR in the 4th round. They both turn out to be studs, and you trade the lesser in 3 years, for a 1st and 3rd round pick.

This is an embarrassment. The cherry on top is that (of course) he has $11.2 million in void years. The guy has done nothing but produce for us. Give him a new deal or trade him.
