Great trade by the Vikings, especially since it would have been somewhat understandable to overpay after Irv's injury. I'm glad we didn't trade for the egomaniac Clay Cesspool; he thinks he's a top-tier wr. He's shown questionable judgment both on and off the field.

I like this deal! To get a much better TE than we have, move back from our second round pick about 38ish spots or so, and the one round 2024 picks swaps is a very solid value. Hock was a guy I really wanted in the draft, I'm hoping he's a long time fit! This is much better for the team than giving Pittsburgh a 2nd for Claypool. With a high ankle sprain, he's coming just in time! When we get both of them on the field at the same time, that should be fun to watch!

The last three games Mundt has 5 receptions for 8 yards with a long of 4. Somewhere in that is a Leroy Hoard analogy.

Yea David, I understand all the angst with Irv, but he did hurt himself at work, it wasn't like he was playing a pickup basketball game. I'm just thinking about the plays that can be designed with Hock, Irv, JJ and AT on the field. If not this year, than next, but it could be an exciting TE combo. Smith is also a pretty willing blocker, so there's that too. I'm not attached to Smith in any way, he could leave tomorrow and it would be met with a shrug by me, but it could be a fun group to watch!

It's not even angst, or anger at him for getting hurt again. He's an Unrestricted Free Agent next year and we're not exactly flush with money. I'll be surprised if we bring him back.

Him hurting himself at work is the point Bill. I cant speak for you or anybody else, but I played tackle football until I was 24, it's a tough sport, people get hurt. All I'm saying is that he hurt himself trying to win a game. It's a shame for him, because now he ware's the tag as being fragile. I get it, he (like Cook) misses too much time, bummer, but I do believe that if you had him, Hock, JJ and AT on the field, it would be exciting stuff. As for the "willing" comment, I just admire that he is willing to engage out there. I coached offensive line guys for 11 years, I know what effort looks like. I don't like that he hasn't finished a season without being injured, that doesn't make him a pariah, just an unfortunate sequence of events.

He's played in 36 out of 66 games over 4 years. And its not just a recurring thing. It's a new injury each time. Back and Groin injuries in 2020, Knee surgery in 2021. Thumb surgery in 2022, Ankle Injury in 2022. 88 Receptions, 844 yards (9.6), 9TDs. Averages 4 YAC. Career Long: 36 Yards. 2 Broken Tackles, 2 Fumbles. I was thrilled when we drafted him, and thought after 2020 that he had a chance to be decent (he did have 5 TDs on only 30 receptions), but the truth is he's rarely available and he's infinitely replaceable when he is.

Great trade Kwesi! Doesn't make up for the crap trade in the first last draft but it's a start. I'd rather have Jameson Williams than Hock but heck of trade none the less. Hock should be a big upgrade to the position.

To me this goes a long way taking the sting out of the bad draft trade. If not all but erase it. We needed the help and didn't get rolled getting it. Kudos to Kwesi for building good relationships...even with the enemy.

when I saw the trade I was hoping we got some of the value back from Detroit that we lost on draft day, looks like we did. TJ will be a great addition to this group. I can't really believe Detroit let him go, particularly to the Vikings. They must want us to win the division too. Everyone is tired of GB, blow Pack blow!

Maybe Ingram is on the wrong side, and would benefit greatly from playing next to Darrisaw. And since Cleveland is built like a tackle, you move him to O'Neil's spot, and move O'Neill inside to better help Bradbury. So it would be: Darrisaw-Ingram-Bradbury-O'Niell-Cleveland
