The early returns Davenport and Oliver are disappointing... hope they can turn it around.

Davenport hasn't played a snap yet and had a whopping .5 sacks last year. so I wouldn't expect much from him anyway.

Oliver has made some catches and done his job blocking....I would hardly call the early return on a TE2 disappointing.

My view (which may not be fair) is that he was brought in to help the running game.
Running game has been disappointing... maybe not his fault... disappointed with the approach.

Yeah. running hasn't been good. One caveat though, Tampa has a very good run defense. and Philadephia one of the best Dlines in the game. It's not like we were running against the Vikings defense.

Hopefully at some point, measuring ourselves against the better teams iwill be about how competitive we are … not as an excuse for not doing better.

That goes for our cream puff record last year.

You don't think we were competitive in our last two games?

Did I say we weren't?

You said, '... running hasn't been good. One caveat though ... Tampa run defense and Phil Dline ...' are good.

I thought you were talking about our run game. I said, 'hopefully at some point' we will measure up to the better teams, not use them as 'an excuse for not doing better.'

I also pointed out, for those of us - not you specifically - who wave the 13-4 record around when there's criticism of the regime and how well they've done to this point. Again, at some point I hope we are measured against the good teams by how competitive we are ...

not by how far we have to go.

Im afraid we have a ways to go before we'll be compared to SF

I think McCaffray could gain yards even behind our OL

In regard to Oliver. while the running game has been disappointing it appears Oliver has been doing his job. Not his fault KOC isn't rushing the ball outside.

Not sure how or where to look it up but it would be interesting to see where each running play has gone (which side ect). Seems they mostly (like last season) have been up the middle which isn't utilizing Olivers talents.

Davenport signing was a bad joke. Guy has spent the majority of his career hurt. Not sure why kwesi thought that would change.

'history of injuries' is on kwesi's 'must-have' list....

To sum up, the early returns on Kwesi have been disappointing, last year's 13-5 record notwithstanding.

In spite of the fact we won 13 games last year and started out -6 turnover, huh? But i get it, 0-2 and nervous we cant pull out a win on Sun sucks

I'd put it this way. A GM can make a huge impact via talent evaluation through the draft and free agency. If you compare Kwesi's background to almost any other NFL GM, there are two glaring shortcomings: overall football experience and, more specifically, scouting/player personnel. So we hired a guy with no proven track record in an area of great importance to team success. He's about 1/3 of the way through his contract, so no need to conclude too much at this point, but I'm a little worried.

We should be worried the Vikings are going into an NFL game with Bullard, Phillips, Lowry and Roy as their defensive lineman.

Hard to believe there's not some sort of tanking going on, rolling out these guys as your front.

And the savior of our O-line has been working out at home and unsigned as even a back up by any other team.......
Very worried may be an understatement.

Hard to believe 3 games in and no one else with a sack

I will say it again. This is the worst front 7 in football

Sad thing is people will want to will themselves to 9-8 and a WC spot only to get trounced by a quality team

Serious lack of talent on the field.
