A few people post about JJs money-related comments, Kwesi's over the top serenades, and JJs meaningless playoff impact. So what. They are all true.

I personally don't believe he's worth $30+ million but that is today's NFL. Unlike Phil, I don't believe the contract has been done "for some time now". I believe there is a hold up on the % of guaranteed money. I hope the TEAM sticks to their policy regarding guaranteed money for non-QBs.

According to Purple Daily (on a pod months ago) they already broke that policy with Hock. Not sure that it matters but....

They also seem to agree with you that the holdup is guaranteed money.

Hock was bad contract. Looks they are doubling down with JJ. The only rationale I see is that they are making sure McCarthy has great weapons as he transitions in.

I get the frustration but the dude has been in 1 playoff game and his chance to be a hero was rewarded with a 3 yard check down on forth and 8.

Seems to me now that Jets is the new one to pick on now that Kirk is gone.

Seems there always has to be some posters aren’t happy now that Kirk is gone. I say BFD on the contract when the salary cap is in 250 million range. You may hate it but he sells more Jerseys and hopefully playoff wins come. Moss is attached to a very good team when he arrived… not all players have that kind of luck.

Biggest reason you pay him. He isn’t 25 yet. Same age as St. Brown

You numbskull.

Some posters aren’t happy because we haven’t had a competitive team since 2017.

If you want to simply focus on the positive and rationalize the negative, go for it. Not everybody’s narrow like that.

Numbskull? It is one thing to be happy about letting Kirk at 35 or 30 year old Hunter go.

A 24 year old WR or 26 year old TE still with a lot of prime left? You may want to revisit your trolling policies. Schedule a meeting and readdress.

hock - didn't practice during training camp...missed some key receptions early in the season...tore achilles tendon...we could have controlled him for a couple more years without a contract....

This franchise will be in perpetual choking loser mode forever if we are giving up on young talented players this easily.

JJ has had only about three QBs throw him the ball. MOSTLY a choking loser in Cousins or less than mediocre backups. Let's see what he can do with a real QB before giving up entirely.

He's the best at his position but all accounts. He deserves to be paid that way. I don't like it, but I will let the front office deal with the cap ramifications.

I don't want to pull another Randy Moss here. Dump him and draft a bunch of dogshit to replace him.

We have 17M in cap room.

Does signing Calais Campbell for 1 year (probably 8-10M) make any sense? Are we looking to compete or should we see what the young guys(Roy, 7th rounder and UFDAs) have?

Choking loser is gasoline on slow burning ember. We all use labels but that is an over reaction to fair criticism of JJ not being the end all of players.

JJ is not perfect. But he's a great player, he's young, he has an A+ attitude in games going after the ball and attacking defenders.

He needs to tone down the 'no other player in history' talk. Whether you agree with it or not.

He's got so many good things going for him, it damps down (for me) on his likability, period.

For my money, he's a cornerstone of the offense.

Of the franchise? Nah.

Its okay if he's a place holder until McCarthy develops or we find a QB.

Pay him handsomely. I just don't think we build the team and structure the cap around him ... no matter how good / young he is.

IMO teams sustain their success with QB, OL, DL/Edge and CB. WRs are vital but paramount? I myself would rather have top quality at QB, LT, Edge and CB, and then WR. I understand things don't fall into place perfectly like that ... so you keep your best players and keep trying.

Bottomline for me: If paying him as the best WR is not good enough ... if he wants to push the boundaries of WR contracts beyond just being paid like the league's best WR ... I'm sorry but there is a point of diminishing returns. There just is.

I think we'll find out soon enough.

Letting Hunter go for nothing is KAM's second dumbest move since he got here. Compounded by the fact that he made his decision based on the players telling him they wanted him to stay. What are the supposed to say "yeah, man, trade him". [&o]

I've liked a lot of what he's done this offseason but man has had some massive head scratchers. [:@]

Personally I think Hunter leaving was a foregone conclusion when he signed his last contract with us specifically making it so that the Vikings wouldn't put the tag on him. He WANTED to test free agency and with our cap issues there was no way we could keep him.

Yes. Talented guy that can't stay on the field. Took a chance.

Yes. Kwesi gets guys that Flores and KOC want. You don't think he checked in with Flores to see if he would work in his system?

Greenard is a OLB.

I'm talking about DLine. Right now we have Phillips, Tillery and Bullard starting. With Roy, 7th Rounder and JWilliams as backups.

Do we sign Campbell even though he is probably a guy a contender signs(because of age) or see if the youngsters can play?
