OKC is simply the REAL Deal. So much talent and very good coaching. I don't see anyone beating them.

I disagree. I thought OKC looked very beatable last night. Like David said, OKC played their A game and the Wolves only lost by 2 despite playing poorly.

I wouldn't say the Wolves played poorly. McDaniels, NAW and #0 played out of their minds.

Matt Lang -> RE: Timberwolves 2024/2025 Season (5/28/2025 11:42:16 AM)

Their stars were better than our stars in game 4. Hopefully we return the favor tonight

As a team, they shot extremely well. That kept them in the game. It wasn't enough to overcome 21 turnovers and OKCs 24 second chance points.

That's what OKC does. They find ways to win.

Wolves A Game is better than OKC's A Game.

The problem is consistency.

Half the time the Wolves give you 100. Half the time they give you 70.

OKC gives you 85 almost every night.

The Wolves found a way to lose. Their failure to simply box out cost them the game.

Hit the nail on the head. Now all the Wolves have to do is manage to play their A game three straight times.

I think this is accurate. The Wolves have the ability to be amazing, as they were in that historic rout in game 3. But they don’t always deliver it. OKC is more of a solid team night in and night out. They may have had a rare poor game in game 3 which added to the massive deficit. But for the most part they are very good and always competitive.

Prediction tonight? Who the hell knows? I think the Wolves have a chance to win and get one more home game. But chances of knocking off the Thunder 3 in a row? 1% or less.

Steve Lentz -> RE: Timberwolves 2024/2025 Season (5/28/2025 7:24:26 PM)

I sure hope you guys are right. My heart wants your opinions to be right, but I've seen OKC play so many times and when they are on their game, they are the NBA's best.

DavidAOlson -> RE: Timberwolves 2024/2025 Season (5/28/2025 7:44:42 PM)

Just a warning for everyone: I'm watching tonight, which usually means the T-wolves are doomed. Sorry 'bout that.

Steve Lentz -> RE: Timberwolves 2024/2025 Season (5/28/2025 8:20:07 PM)

Randle is a mess.

TJSweens -> RE: Timberwolves 2024/2025 Season (5/28/2025 8:38:35 PM)

Getting our F gane tonight. Just roll over and play dead.

Steve Lentz -> RE: Timberwolves 2024/2025 Season (5/28/2025 9:20:03 PM)

Now Randle is playing.

Steve Lentz -> RE: Timberwolves 2024/2025 Season (5/29/2025 9:12:09 AM)

Thunder was the 4th team in history to reach 80 wins before the Finals.
Amazing Team!!!!

Last night was more like their A Game!

I hate watching OKC play. Guess I'm an Indy fan the rest of the season.

Could be a very competitive series, but OKC imo the better team. Definitely should be more competitive than Minnesota was.

I love good basketball.

What OKC does isn't good basketball.

You must love Joel Embiid.

I agee, OKC excel as Foul Farmers
It’s like watching an NFL Flag Fest
I’m sure the advertiser’s love all the interruptions
No flow, mind numbing, cheap call after cheap call, even in the playoffs
🤮

Speaking of fouls.....
I tried watching some NBA basketball for the first time in years since the Wolves were supposedly making a run and was wondering when they completely took traveling out of basketball?

Steve Lentz -> RE: Timberwolves 2024/2025 Season (5/31/2025 12:33:04 PM)

The Wolves got exposed. My MAN ANT LOOKED PEDESTRIAN. OKC certainly looks like the best team to me. Well coached and able to play at a high level both offensively and defensively.

That didn't pass the sniff test, so I looked it up.

In 4 games of that 5 game series, OKC was charged with more fouls than Minn (equal # of fouls in the 5th game).

Over in the East, both of those teams have 'farmed' more fouls than OKC over 5 games. And they are averaging 7 more fouls per game.

Yes there are lots of fouls, lack of flow, etc. Just like the NFL. But in the Conf finals OKC didn't excel as "Foul Farmers", and are in fact last among the 4 teams in getting calls.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: Timberwolves 2024/2025 Season (5/31/2025 12:44:20 PM)

Heard something ~ in the 4 losses to OKC Edwards was 19% or 25% on threes. Seems more relevant than complaining about OKC.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: Timberwolves 2024/2025 Season (5/31/2025 12:48:36 PM)

A quick look shows Gobert and Hartenstein had remarkably similar stats WRT points/rebounds/blocks.

Gobert is averaging $37M per going forward but Hartenstein isn't far behind at $29M.

OKC's poor man's Twin Towers are a tough combo, especially if Williams is playing well.
