We could score then get the ball in the 2nd half.

Could.

We have another gift!

So far, so good. We need a score on the end of this drive.

The missed call on the obvious safety shows an obvious bias that the refs think the Lions are the better team.

Calls and no calls going one way is very hard for the opposing team to overcome.

Officials have almost no bearing on this game.

They missed the safety. But we should’ve got a TD after that.

Bingo. Having said that I don't understand how they get that wrong.

There's no accountability for them when they mess up a call. They let the review booth fix it for them.

I guess I don't understand how the "expedited" review can't at least say that was illegal touching. He threw the ball into the back of a lineman. Maybe he was eligible who knows.

Wake up, lots of stuff has happened since.

Huh?

We got the ball back right after that and couldn’t score. Don’t hold onto that. Defense made up for it and this is the game thread.

Speedy sighting.

The missed call on the safety absolutely has a bearing on the game.

It was an obvious call that they missed, it shows bias.

Had the Vikings gotten the 2 points, Sam might have settled down, and the score might be 9-7 in favor of the Vikings right now.

What you call “bias” most people call “a mistake”.

So you can't talk about the game in the game thread. Got it!

Or game speed.

David Levine -> RE: WEEK 18: @ Lions 1-05-24 7:20PM CT (1/5/2025 8:40:40 PM)

Sigh.

Sam is taking a ton of hits.

The interior is collapsing before he finishes his reads. Maybe that's why he's throwing all over the place.

Richard Neussendorfer -> RE: WEEK 18: @ Lions 1-05-24 7:20PM CT (1/5/2025 8:43:06 PM)

We are a dumb ass team

Bill Johanesen -> RE: WEEK 18: @ Lions 1-05-24 7:20PM CT (1/5/2025 8:43:09 PM)

Yey kicker! Ya ass.

How in the hell can you kick the ball out of bounds???

Murph -> RE: WEEK 18: @ Lions 1-05-24 7:20PM CT (1/5/2025 8:43:29 PM)

Where's Romo?

David Levine -> RE: WEEK 18: @ Lions 1-05-24 7:20PM CT (1/5/2025 8:44:00 PM)

Just hand them points.

Dumbasses.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: WEEK 18: @ Lions 1-05-24 7:20PM CT (1/5/2025 8:44:30 PM)

Is anyone watching this meltdown?!

marty -> RE: WEEK 18: @ Lions 1-05-24 7:20PM CT (1/5/2025 8:44:59 PM)

What you call “bias” most people call “a mistake

When it's obvious, it might not be a "mistake", it might simply be bias.

There is very little doubt in my mind that if it were reversed, Sam would have been flagged for grounding, and the Lions would have gotten the safety, and the momentum.

Russell Timmons -> RE: WEEK 18: @ Lions 1-05-24 7:20PM CT (1/5/2025 8:45:15 PM)

This isn't going to get them through the playoffs.

Richard Neussendorfer -> RE: WEEK 18: @ Lions 1-05-24 7:20PM CT (1/5/2025 8:45:17 PM)

Such stupid asses

I'm trying, but it's getting tough.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: WEEK 18: @ Lions 1-05-24 7:20PM CT (1/5/2025 8:46:10 PM)

Not championship material.

More of the 'keep plugging away' type.

We get intimidated by the bright lights and attention. So frustrating.

Richard Neussendorfer -> RE: WEEK 18: @ Lions 1-05-24 7:20PM CT (1/5/2025 8:47:34 PM)

When your kicker does that you aren't a serious team. When your qb can't hit the broad side of a barn it's gonna be tough.

marty -> RE: WEEK 18: @ Lions 1-05-24 7:20PM CT (1/5/2025 8:48:05 PM)

Sam should be quickly deciding to run on 2nd downs, make them respect the fact that he might run, and that can open up other things.

This game is winnable with some halftime adjustments.

Phil Riewer -> RE: WEEK 18: @ Lions 1-05-24 7:20PM CT (1/5/2025 8:48:07 PM)

So far neither QB has lit it up luckily.

marty -> RE: WEEK 18: @ Lions 1-05-24 7:20PM CT (1/5/2025 8:48:53 PM)

You shut up Bill, I am right about this.
