You listen too long to the pundits and wonder if Flores even cares about DTs or CBs … as if their highest priority skills are ‘occupying blockers’ for DTs and ‘patrolling short-med zone passes’ for both S and CB.

We need help in both places obviously and I would love to pair Redmond with any of the prospects on the list above.

I know Kwesi went off last offseason but the issue was not the focus (IOL-IDL) but the execution of who to bring in and at what cost.

A lot of needs but a decent young DT and C in the first 100 picks would be cool.

I was sure the Vikes were locked on the the Safety out of Oregon, but now I think they may go IDL and get a huge nose tackle to stop the run. They also need a RB and a third WR and Center. The Draft is two weeks away!

I don’t see third WR as a need, at all..

If you can’t keep a pocket clean, there is no way that read gets made..

Building a line that protects and can run block should be a priority.

Been saying it for years, but it never happens..

Exactly. Flores' scheme, which isn't even a scheme, makes things difficult to armchair predict. Like with DTs - human fire hydrant Harrison Phillips was traded for a bag of peanuts. Tonga, released. The DL incumbents are a bunch of sideshow acts... LDR put on 30 lbs by eating, among other things, "three platefuls that included a double burger, a six-egg, three-meat skillet and a Nutella-and-banana crepe."

Flores should be credited with "Give me your tired, your poor, / Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, / The wretched refuse of your teeming shore."

Then there is the Metellus factor who chips in at CB, S, and LB which makes the need for all those positions a little less.
