It sounds like when St.Louis slapped a ridiculous price tag on Thomas, teams started shifting to Trocheck.

The reasoning for sure makes it look that way. Don't see roster maintenance as a reason too often....

Stramel is playing really well lately---two assists last night. So maybe the Ranger GM is having a change of heart.....I think he is playing well enough to get another Center in trade if it isn't Trochek.

Hearing the #mnwild are working toward a potential trade for Flyers forward Bobby Brink. Wonder if they're dangling David Jiricek or a prospect of that ilk.

Bobby Brink to the Wild is such a good, lowkey move.

Brink will slot in nicely on the 3rd line. Can play the PP too.

And he’s a Minnesota boy too.

Great, we added another Smurf. I really don't see the logic unless they can flip him in another deal today. I will say he is a surprising return for Jiricek, who has shown absolutely nothing.

He basically is the same size and age as Rossi with the same production. 13 goals so far this year.

About time BG cuts his losses on Jiricek and gets what he can for him now before his value drops even lower. Brink has more skill than anybody currently on our 3rd line and could slot in for JoJo too. Granted he is another smurf but is still a better player than Jiricek has been for us.

Another rumor is that NYR didn't want Jiricek.....so Brink, Stramel, and a 1st for Trochek?

You start throwing Brink/Yurov, Stramel, and a 1st....you could be close to Thomas range.

Not that they'll necessarily play together, but John Wroblewski told me Bobby Brink and Matt Boldy had "unreal chemistry" at the 2019 Under-18s and he'll "thrive under Hynesy."

So they can mix and match for games and give some breathers now.

Rossi is over 190 lbs and built like a brick shit house. Brink is 169 lbs. Guerin spent 2 years trying to move Rossi because he was too small. Now he picked up someone even smaller.

He is not as skilled as Yurov on the 3rd line. But yes, getting anything for Jiricek is a good thing.

Just because the Twins are a joke of a franchise doesn't mean yiou need to shit on all the teams that are so much better than them...

I get a kick out the trade deadline day in the NHL. It looks like everybody is swapping around bottom 6 players like it's going to really make a difference.

If the Wild land Trocheck or swing for the fences and land Thomas, the bottom six pickups are actually pretty helpful in the playoffs. McCarron wins face-offs, gets the puck below the red line and checks. He plays the consumate heavy game that is big asset from the 4th line in the playoffs.
