Wilson parlayed this breakout into a long-term deal as a Vikings starter. He is a downhill linebacker who can impact the game as a blitzer and run defender, though he is more limited in coverage. But the film showed a player who was open often. He has the traits to be a much more productive player in a bigger role, including inside-outside flexibility, yards-after-the-catch ability, play speed to push vertically and the spatial awareness to find holes against zone coverage. The Raiders are preparing to take Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 pick. They were lacking at receiver after trading away Jakobi Meyers last season. Tom Pelissero @TomPelissero · 1m The Vikings and RB Aaron Jones have agreed to a revised contract to keep him in Minnesota for the 2026 season, sources tell me and @RapSheet . Jones lowers his base salary to $5.5 million and will stay in Minnesota.

It's ironic that the guy(Brez) who was asked to cram huge contracts in every year is taking a patient cheap(smart) approach.

I do think part is that they have to make a decision on Grenard and there is a lot of $$$ tied up in either decision. It would be nice to have only $7 million tied up in the QB position.

I'll just say this about Murray. Rumor is he is contacting other teams who might want him to be backup in 2026 and then start in 2027. If he isn't competitive enough to want to play right away, why would anyone want him?
