Banks had some rough series...

But this highlights some of the potential:

Dude could be a game wrecker!

Nice. It was also good his doctor's prognosis of being healed in May was accurate. A lot of times their times are bogus. Couple that with a foot injury for a 335 lb man and I figured Banks wouldn't even practice until the end of summer.

He may have played more than expected because I-D got injured (Williams was inactive), and didn't see the 'rough series', but to get playing time like that with Flores is noteworthy.

Welcome to MN Vikings fandom. We have had:

A pass happy coach
Bad OLine (injuries and talent)
Great WR room
Carrousel at QB

And we throw it almost nonstop

Fast Forward. We have:

A run happy coach who has changed his ways
A pretty decent OLine (assuming health)
A shitty RB room
Carrousel at QB

Obviously a bit of tongue in cheek there but dang! If KOC was really changing his stripes and is embracing the running game.......we should have drafted a RB in the first couple of rounds. Mason is out and Jones can't carry that kind of load anymore

Not much forethought here. Telling when your already raiding other teams PS for a rb after week 1.

I love that Caleb Williams is getting a ton of national s** for his "injury". I have nothing against the guy, as a person, but the Bears hype was insufferable. I hope that blows up their locker room.

I was loving the frumpy reaction by Ben Johnson on Sunday. After bragging and predicting Da Bears were going to set the scoring record...

Goes to show you. Flap your lips and karma can come around and bite you in the ass. It was beautiful.

He is a little more frumpy now:

#Bears QB Tyson Bagent is dealing with a concussion and is in the NFL’s concussion protocol, sources say.

With Caleb Williams likely out with a hamstring injury, Case Keenum could be the starter vs the #Eagles.

David Levine -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/22/2026 5:08:47 PM)

At his press conference yesterday, head coach Kevin O’Connell announced that quarterback Kyler Murray had officially cleared the league’s concussion protocol and would start for the team on Sunday when they travel to central Florida to take on the 0-2 Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

3. Jeffery Simmons - 13
3. Trey Hendrickson - 13
5. Greg Rousseau - 12

David Levine -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/22/2026 5:34:29 PM)

Heh.

PFF Power Rankings after week 2:

11: Lions
14: Packers
16: Vikings

Turner is the perfect toy for a Brian Flores defense.

Skor North mentioned they will be using NFL Network's ratings more. They said that their ratings are off quite often and after the saw what PFF gave Turner for a grade after Sunday's game they just can't use it by itself.

DT from our PS poached by 49ers:

Tom Pelissero
@TomPelissero
The 49ers are signing veteran DT Naquan Jones off the Vikings practice squad, per source.

Daniel Lee Young -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/23/2026 3:43:58 PM)

We need to poach a running back….

For me, the Vikings have won two games that I did not expect them to win which is awesome. However, the Vikings have two games coming up against the Bucs and the Dolphins that they are expected to win. The Vikings need to win all the games that they are expected to win. This is one of the first things good teams do. Take care of business. It would really be a setback if they lose any of these two games. I have some concerns about the Bucs game because Tampa is not as bad as they played against the Browns.

The next 3 should be wins [:'(]

Now you just jinxed us.

Seriously though, whenever we start feeling good about this team they lay an egg.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/23/2026 4:24:24 PM)

Maybe they will elevate RB Jerome Ford from the PS. He had a couple of ok years in Cleveland but has had injury issues

2023 (Rush 204-813-4.0, 4 TD; Rec 44-319-7.2, 5 TD)

2024 (Rush 104-565-5.4, 3 TD; Rec 37-225-5.1, 0 TD)

If he's healthy enough to play, I'd do it. He's a good back.

David Levine -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/23/2026 5:44:32 PM)

Cornerback Isaiah Rodgers was named the NFC’s Special Teams Player of the Week on Wednesday.

Rodgers made, arguably, the biggest play of the Vikings’ win at Soldier Field, as his block of Cairo Santos’ 23-yard field goal attempt that would have tied the game with six minutes left in the fourth quarter helped to preserve what was then a 6-3 Minnesota lead.

This is the second weekly award that Rodgers has won since joining the Vikings. He was named the NFC’s Defensive Player of the Week in Week 3 of last season when he returned both an interception and a fumble for a touchdown in the same quarter in a blowout victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Rodgers is also now the only player in the league with at least one blocked kick in each of the last three seasons.

David Levine -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/23/2026 5:53:18 PM)

All the talk is about Turner, but KAM might have found another one:

Donovan Jackson hasn't allowed any pressures in 59 pass-blocking snaps. There are only two NFL guards with 50 pass-blocking snaps with 0 pressures per PFF.

Dude was just burying Bears defenders.
