Easy win or trap game? Can Murray give us any hope in him?

David Levine -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/2/2026 5:57:10 PM)

Shut it down if we lose this one. This team should go 0-17

I understood from general internet awareness that the Dolphins were bad... But looking them up, wow, "bad" undersells their level of ineptitude.

Yeah Malik Willis stinks out loud, and their front office was certifiably insane to give him that contract after 35 pass attempts in 2025.

Their new RB1 (Ollie Gordon) is averaging 2.4 yards per carry.

Their #1 pass rusher (Chop Robinson) has all of 4 pressures on the season (0 sacks). Comparing that to Dallas Turner's 19 isn't even fair, but it's not even close to VanGinkle's 9.

Trying for historical context, their average margin of defeat is -16.7 points. That's a full point per game worse than the 2008, 0-16 LoLions (-15.5); and makes the 2017 0-16 Browns look competitive at -11 ppg.

The Vikings have no excuse not to win this game convincingly.

Daniel Lee Young -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/2/2026 9:23:44 PM)

Vikings -10

O/U is 38.5

My bet is take the vikes, give the points, and inept KOC, the under ..

Maybe Flores pitches a shut out?

Last shut out was December 5, 2025 against Washington, at home.

Just hoping we avoid any big injuries and that Jefferson doesn’t aggravate his ankle.

No NFL game has ever ended in an overtime 0-0 tie because overtime was not introduced until 1974, and no 0-0 tie has ever reached extra time.
Scoreless Tie History

• Total 0-0 ties: 73 games in professional football history ended 0-0, but all happened before overtime rules existed.

I lean towards the Dolphins covering the points, Vikings win by a FG.

BisonFan -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 8:01:35 AM)

This should be a get the offense right game, but I am not counting on it. Maybe "Mighty Mouse" will find his cape. Let's go Vikings!

marty -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 8:17:16 AM)

The Vikings could lose at home to the Dolphins, and still go on to win the Super Bowl. Any given Sunday.

This isn't Malik Willis' 1st NFL start. There is not as much film on Dolphin tendencies as they have a new HC, and might do things differently with Achane out.

Should a player like Dallas Turner take too wide of a trajectory, it could leave a hole for a mobile QB like Willis. A few calls and non-calls in their favor, and a team that nobody expected to win pulls an upset.

OTOH, should Kyler Murray start to make some corrections, get the offense rolling without JJ playing, it could help his confidence and start to give us hope that this team could become a Super Bowl contender.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 9:41:41 AM)

Just come out of the game with a W and no new injuries. Winning or good play against a bad team doesn't shift the scales a bit.

David Levine -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 3:07:56 PM)

Waste a great kick return because Kyler is afraid to throw the ball.

Daniel Lee Young -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 3:08:20 PM)

No coverage for me ..

So let me know..

Murph -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 3:08:20 PM)

3 and out. Same ole

stfrank -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 3:08:45 PM)

Kyler is not a pocket passer and that is all KOC calls....[&o]

Kick return out to about midfield.

3 step drop and Kyler didn’t get the ball out.

Daniel Lee Young -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 3:10:27 PM)

Buffalo loses at home..

Lol

David Levine -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 3:10:45 PM)

Muffed punt somehow leads to a touchback.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 3:10:56 PM)

1st sack and first 1st half punt of the year [&o]

David Levine -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 3:11:12 PM)

Packers barely able to beat Tampa without Mayfield.

David Levine -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 3:14:52 PM)

Price is our best player…

stfrank -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 3:17:05 PM)

And Kyler can't even complete a short pass....

David Levine -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 3:17:24 PM)

With a barely average offense this team would be a juggernaut. Insane defense, phenomenal special teams, and an utter joke of an offense.

Murph -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 3:19:04 PM)

As good as the defense is, the offense is equally bad.

stfrank -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 3:19:37 PM)

Yes! A short check down pass completed....Kyler warming up.

beo -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 3:20:20 PM)

Can Myles Price play qb?

Richard Neussendorfer -> RE: WEEK : @ Dolphins 10-04-26 3:05PM CT (10/4/2026 3:21:07 PM)

This may be the worst Vikings offense I've ever seen. And I've seen some pretty bad ones.

Hand off to Boom-Boom or Osborne because we don't have a QB that can throw the ball. Ah, the good old days....
