Left me speechless.
I find it UNREAL

I've never been to a tourney. I would never leave.

But I guess some get numb to all of that.

Mr. Ed -> RE: 2016 March Madness (3/24/2016 9:47:22 AM)

I would at the very least want to see my kid and talk to him after the game.

Mark Anderson -> RE: 2016 March Madness (3/26/2016 8:52:41 AM)

Very good tournament this year. Well played games.

Not a coincidence that there seems to be a lot of teams with Juniors and Seniors on them.

Mr. Ed -> RE: 2016 March Madness (3/26/2016 5:59:53 PM)

BOOMER SOONER

Fun to watch team.

Oklahoma crushing #1 seeded Oregon at the half. Hield almost can't miss. I like that guy. Wonder if we will even get a shot at drafting him.

Steve Lentz -> RE: 2016 March Madness (3/26/2016 6:31:55 PM)

Hield certainly isn't hurting his draft potential. I think he will be gone in the top 3-4.

Steve Lentz -> RE: 2016 March Madness (3/26/2016 10:13:41 PM)

Nova in the Final Four.
That killed some more brackets.

SoMnFan -> RE: 2016 March Madness (3/27/2016 8:01:06 AM)

Hadn't seen Nova until last week
Took one look and said ... "those are MEN"
No surprise to me, won't be surprised to see them hoisting the trophy at the end.

If NC and Virginia win today, this could be the strongest Final Four in quite a while.

Steve Lentz -> RE: 2016 March Madness (3/27/2016 7:30:26 PM)

Another #1 falls!
Syracuse to Final Four

twinsfan -> RE: 2016 March Madness (3/27/2016 7:32:11 PM)

So Syracuse already pulled off the upset. If Notre Dame somehow beats NC, the Oklahoma/Villanova winner will be a huge favorite in the championship game.

Epic fall-apart by Virginia

College basketball is unwatchable. Much thanks and accolades to the NBA for ruining it.

The NBA wants most of the kids to stay....starting this year they are letting all the youngsters come out for the NBA, perform at the combine, and return to College BB up to 3 weeks before the draft, and they can do this up to 2-3 times. Way more transparent for the kids now.

I don't think you would keep some of the younger kids from going to Europe instead if they didn't let them join NBA at 19....

I was surprised during the last CBA Stern didn't try to bump it up another year before draft eligible. Like to see the kids a few years in College first

Probably because there are alternatives for the young basketball player other than the NBA.

Was just gonna ask one day about what-ever-happened-to ... Mike Dunleavy Sr.
The ultimate bulldog overachiever.

Former longtime NBA coach Mike Dunleavy Sr. is taking his first college coaching job at Tulane, joining a program that has languished at or below .500 for most of the past two decades since last appearing in the NCAA tournament in 1995.

"I am delighted to have the opportunity to coach the Green Wave and excited to help develop the student-athletes at Tulane into champions," Dunleavy said in a statement.

Dunleavy will be introduced in a news conference Tuesday at Devlin Fieldhouse, the Green Wave's on-campus basketball arena.

The 62-year-old Dunleavy, whose hiring was announced Monday, is a Brooklyn, New York, native who played for South Carolina before a lengthy career as an NBA player and coach. He has been the head coach of four NBA teams, most recently the Los Angeles Clippers from 2003 to 2010. He previously coached the Los Angeles Lakers (1990-92), Milwaukee Bucks (1992-96) and Portland Trail Blazers (1997-2001), being named NBA Coach of the Year in 1998-99.

"His reputation as a great evaluator of talent, master of strategy and teacher of the game defines him today as one of the top basketball minds in the country at any level," athletic director Troy Dannen said in a statement. "His commitment to Tulane athletics is a game-changer for our program."

This marks the second major hire at Tulane for Dannen, who took over as Green Wave athletic director in December. He has also hired new football coach Willie Fritz.

Dunleavy's six-year hiatus from coaching ends as he replaces Ed Conroy, who was fired after six seasons. Conroy finished this season 12-22.

Liked his game way better than his kid. How many times can the rim deny your flush?

Good for him taking on a really tough gig. And that is really one difficult place to coach and recruit.

SoMnFan -> RE: 2016 March Madness (4/2/2016 9:05:46 PM)

Okie found out today why I was speechless the first time I saw Nova.
Men.
Once I saw them I didn't believe anyone would beat them.

twinsfan -> RE: 2016 March Madness (4/2/2016 9:14:22 PM)

UNC will be favored in Vegas, but my money would be on Villanova. V looked unbeatable tonight. And the UNC national fan advantage will artificially push the points towards UNC. The smart money would be on Villanova. Unfortunately I have to be for UNC because my wife claims she wins her office bracket if UNC wins. I'm having trouble rooting for UNC vs Syracuse. I think I actually am pulling for Syracuse, much like I might be pulling for Villanova over UNC on Monday.

SoMnFan -> RE: 2016 March Madness (4/2/2016 9:16:07 PM)

This ones over early too. [:o]

twinsfan -> RE: 2016 March Madness (4/2/2016 9:18:22 PM)

Watch the game on Syracuse fan stream (on TruTV). These guys are hilarious! They must be telling them to make outlandish homer claims. Begging for foul calls when nobody is touched. And they stick with it even when the replay shows no contact! Love it anyway.
