There's a lotta dog in the Florida boys.
They play their asses off.

stfrank -> RE: General NHL (6/10/2015 9:40:37 PM)

The Hawks may even up the series tonight, but I really like the way this Tampa team plays. They are going to be a very tough out all the way through the way it looks.

SoMnFan -> RE: General NHL (6/11/2015 12:10:45 AM)

Turn away joe ...... you're not gonna like this one. [&:]

Let loose on a full minute spew of expletives at the end of that one.
The Chicago Blackhawks are a very difficult team to have .... as the one you do not like.
That final two minutes ..... 3 of those pucks go in on any other NHL teams net there. 3 of them.
BUt noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, not in Chicagos. And I'm not crediting Crawford.
I like their logo, but they should replace it with a horseshoe, the one they have up their posteriors.
Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Saads winner? Nowhere to go with it. Goalie follows him nicely, D has everyone covered ... Saad goes to LIFT a backhander into the goalie, WHIFFS completely ......
and wins Game Four.
What happens when Pommer whiffs? Yeah, I thought so. Just checking.
Speaking of that, if that GD Pommer hadn't ...... oh, nevermind.
I can tell ya how this goes. We go back to TB and they play well, and they win. They outwork the hawks, and barely squeak by.
Then we will go to Game 6 back in Chicago, and TB will once again outplay them, and yet it will go to OT ... where a flipped puck from the blueline will deflect off of at least 7 players before nestling into the TB net. Back to TB for Game Seven. Where TB will outwork them for three periods, and yet it will be tied with a minute left. When, miraculously, a Ning players stick will shatter on an attempt from the blueline, the puck will find its way on to PattyKanes stick, he will use all that energy he has been saving to skate the breakaway and tuck it in for another Chicago Cup celebration.

Bitter much?

Yep.

There.
I feel better.

Great game.
Both teams played hard.
All you can ask.

Gonna be a great best of three.
Carry on.

The Hawks have been outplayed in this series. They've given up too many breakaways and have no answer for the forechecking that tampa does so well. They've scratched out two wins, but I feel the series is tampa's to lose.

At least I know I am not alone wondering how one team can have so much puck luck!!

kevinemmer -> RE: General NHL (6/11/2015 11:39:53 AM)

Tampa impressed the hell out of me last night.

Holy wow are they talented (all over the roster!). [:-]

Stamkos has gotta be feeling rotten about channeling his inner Pom on that open net at the end.

He just Brodzed it!! [:(]

That script sounds about right SMF!! [:@]

joejitsu -> RE: General NHL (6/13/2015 7:30:47 PM)

The Hawks are skating very well tonight, but they still have no answer for the aggressive forechecking of tampa. I think this game is a must win for the Hawks.

joejitsu -> RE: General NHL (6/13/2015 7:32:34 PM)

OUCH!!!! Kucherov pulls a Versteeg and goes head first into a net post. That has to hurt.

stfrank -> RE: General NHL (6/13/2015 7:34:40 PM)

Wow. Clear cut case of interference on Chicago and nothing....then they go down and score. Typical NHL refs.... [X(]

Jeff Jesser -> RE: General NHL (6/13/2015 7:38:20 PM)

We'll see what Tampa has. That was a Manny moment and the Champs gotta be pumped. They just get the bounces. It sucks.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: General NHL (6/13/2015 7:41:39 PM)

It's time for my home state to get off the schnide.

GB - 20 years of Pro Bowl QB play
Chi - 10 years-ish of hockey dominance
Det - 20 years of owning the worst economic situation in the US
ND - an eternity of sucking ass
SD - "hi, I'm in SD"....enough said
Iowa - [:-]

Haha! But could imagine living in green bay? Oh, my God. It's like Gary, Indiana with worse weather!

joejitsu -> RE: General NHL (6/13/2015 7:49:49 PM)

I don't understand why Kane is lined up with Richards and Vermette. He should be with T.T. or someone who can create and pass the puck to him.

It's official. From here on out they are the "Horseshoes" not the Hawks to me!

Hey, come on now man. Why would you insult Gary like that? They have a LOT of problems on their own.

joejitsu -> RE: General NHL (6/13/2015 8:33:55 PM)

Whew! Eight minutes with no whistles. The refs are calling this game pretty loose tonight. Not a lot of ticky tack whistles.

joejitsu -> RE: General NHL (6/13/2015 8:36:30 PM)

Crap. The forechecking got them on that shift.

stfrank -> RE: General NHL (6/13/2015 8:37:08 PM)

Now that ticky tacky hacky had to be called!

Yep. Saad has been very undisciplined this series. He's a big future talent, but he's gotta grow up fast.

Yup, they are sawing them in the middle in hopes of a penalty.

Eddie O is a great hockey announcer and analyst, but he's a Hawk at heart. He was born in Calumet City and grew up in the Western Burbs. He tries to be impartial, but the Hawks are in his DNA.

joejitsu -> RE: General NHL (6/13/2015 8:53:24 PM)

Lots of pressure by the Hawks, but nothing to show for it.

stfrank -> RE: General NHL (6/13/2015 8:55:52 PM)

Typical Horseshoes game going here. Hang in, hang in, hang in, and in the last few minutes get that funny bounce right onto a Horseshoe stick..... LOL

Agreed man, and actually, I think he might be the best at being neutral in the biz. I just thought that one was funny.
