Lynn G. -> RE: RE:Questions and Answers (2/17/2009 11:55:08 AM)

So what is it a picture of Jim? Joe Mauer? Erin Henderson? Jeff Garcia?

Jim Frenette -> RE: RE:Questions and Answers (2/17/2009 4:00:48 PM)

Check TV programs in Media mania

Lynn G. -> RE: RE:Questions and Answers (2/17/2009 4:06:20 PM)

It's a good thing I asked because otherwise I never would have seen it. Media Mania is one of the few areas on the board that I just never have read.

Now you've mastered the picture attachment!

Question for those who have figured this out - how do I rename a hyperlink?  Right clicking doesn't work and there doesn't seem to be a menu option for it.

Thanks in advance...

Lynn G. -> RE: RE:Questions and Answers (6/12/2009 3:29:41 PM)

Were you in "Edit" when you right clicked on it? That's the only thing I can think of, because it seems like that should have worked.

Thanks for responding.

As an example - I'll paste this link into the post (current page):

http://talkvikes.gorge.net/tm.aspx?m=3271&mpage=8

Normally (at least in MS Office apps), right-clicking the link will give me an option to rename the hyperlink.  Doesn't work here for some reason.

Are you suggesting that I would need to post this as is, then go back and edit to be able to rename the link?

We don't have a button that does it but you can code it in manually.

{=[
}=]
{url=http://talkvikes.gorge.net/rteimages/hyperlink.gif}example{/url}
example

Corleone -> RE: RE:Questions and Answers (6/15/2009 3:15:18 PM)

Ok...let's see if this works:

{=[
}=]
{url=http://talkvikes.gorge.net/tm.aspx?m=3271&mpage=8&#315112}Current Page{/url}

Edit - nope.  What am I missing?

Toby Stumbo -> RE: RE:Questions and Answers (6/16/2009 6:51:44 AM)

You have to use the [ and ] in place of the { and } but I'm not sure it will work on every link, has to be a direct link to work I think.

Crap.  Should I just give up? [&:]

Lynn G. -> RE: RE:Questions and Answers (6/16/2009 9:41:54 PM)

I'm out. I can't think of what's going wrong.

Toby Stumbo -> RE: RE:Questions and Answers (6/17/2009 6:55:00 AM)

That's not a direct link which I think is the problem.  http://www.startribune.com/sports/twins/48179192.html would work I'm pretty sure.

EDIT: I don't get it, works for me

Toby Stumbo -> RE: RE:Questions and Answers (6/19/2009 5:03:42 PM)

lol, I have no idea!

hmmmmmm

hmmmmmmmmmmm

Toby Stumbo -> RE: RE:Questions and Answers (6/19/2009 5:09:31 PM)

It could be normal users aren't allowed to use html with this software, I checked for a setting but didn't see one.

Guest -> RE: RE:Questions and Answers (6/19/2009 6:16:33 PM)

A <<<< a link

B <<<<< another link

 yet another link

all renamed obviously

So did you type it in any differently than I did?  It's not like I'm using a Commodore 64 here.  [&:]

Not that big of a deal really if it can't be figured out.

Upgraded to IE 8....1 more try:

Red Star

[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

Weird that there are now menu options in the "reply" window that weren't there before I did the upgrade. Still can't get it to work from the office, though...hey, it's only a Fortune 100 company. [&:][:o]

Duane Sampson -> RE: RE:Questions and Answers (6/23/2009 9:04:30 PM)

IE... LMAO!!!

Dude, lose it. Really......

Corleone -> RE: RE:Questions and Answers (6/23/2009 9:31:09 PM)

No choice from the office, obviously.

From home....I assume you'd recommend Firefox? I'm not so wonderful with CPU's outside of MS Office apps. [:o]

Duane Sampson -> RE: RE:Questions and Answers (6/23/2009 9:33:46 PM)

I hear it.

Yep... Firefox is the bomb.

But if you have to use IE, don't go 8.0 yet. Microcrap is always a year behind the times. [&:]

Jim Frenette -> RE: RE:Questions and Answers (6/24/2009 11:33:57 AM)

Sammy I guess it all depends what you try to do with the explorer. I myself do just a little and don't see any difference between how the 2 work work

Corleone -> RE: RE:Questions and Answers (6/24/2009 1:12:28 PM)

Trying from work:

[link=http://www.startribune.com]Red Star[/link]

Yeah, from the office it's IE 6 which gives me a different menu.  The "insert link" option doesn't have a place to rename it.  I'll keep messing with it.
