So sad, what we've become.
And that's not a knock on the in-state teams ... its just sad to see for those of us who loved the Gopher program at one time.
It starts with no TV coverage. I mean, really? Is this 1977?
This is a major college D1 sport that's being treated like a Park-n-Rec over-35 basketball league.
Millions of fans in this state used to be glued to TV sets on Friday and Saturday nights.
Now, no one even knows WHEN they play, much less where you can find them on TV.
Something collapsed, and its awful. And unfair to the other schools as well. The in-state teams should be getting praised for their improvements as well, but instead, its all playing out in anonymity at this point.
Sad as hell.

I'm going stand up and speak for Australia ( I'm in Perth ) Big 10 hockey sucks! Ruined a good thing with the WCHA.

I willing to bet the little dust mites on Mars think so too. In fact, I would not be surprised if those who are associated with the big 10 think so as well... but those pay checks are nice.

The Gophers hockey team really sucks from what I can see. I have watched exactly half of a game and they are getting completely manhandled by Penn State. Going to be a real hard team to cheer for the way they play.

Not much to say, other than watching Don's team play with lack of energy or enthusiasm year after year is getting really old. I have always liked Lucia, but the time has come to move on.

Gophers looking like they feel like playing today. 2-0 after 1 and Mittelstadt looking like the best player on the ice. The upper classmen not leading, so maybe he will take it upon himself.

Our defensemen are really suspect with this group. Going to have to score lots of goals and depend a lot on Schierhorn this season.

Gophers get revenge on a goal that looked a lot like Penn State's 2nd goal. The only difference is Penn State went high, Gophers went low. Not very good defense by Penn State letting us waltz in like that. 4-2 Gophers with 15 minutes left in the game.
