They flooded the place with cheap tickets for students I think. It helps that it was against Bucky too.
Tonight all they have to do is win and the B10 regular season trophy is theirs along with a bye into the semis for the conference tourney.

I noticed last nights win bumped them up to #4 in the pairwise. It appears they are getting hot at the right time.

Students should always be able to get in for $1.

SCSU hockey was free for students and I think that's the way it should be.

Gophers played a bad game and still beat PSU to move on to the championship game next weekend against Michigan.
Pairwise has them at #4 now, but it will most likely take a tourney championship to get a #1 seed in the NCAA's.

Gophers 3 Michigan 4 on the score board, but it wasn't that close at all. Michigan outplayed the Gophers by a large margin yesterday and took the B10 tourney championship game at Mariucci.
The only good thing to see yesterday was a packed Mariucci arena for the first time in ages.
Gophers will get a 2 seed for the NCAA tourney after last nights lose.

Gophers finally looked like they were on a mission in OT and won the little battles for the puck and along the boards.
A great finish.

I find it funny....the announcers just said the B10 is 3-0 in the tourney and hockey east is 0-3.
I guess that will mean few fans in the stands for the Frozen Four in Boston other than traveling fans.

Watched the whole thing so a couple of points.

Close was fine. He was even “really good” at times. The first 2 came at a horrible time.

1. He never saw it and it clearly should have been waved off. I hate ESPN as much as anyone but when they throw Bucci and Melrose on the game it’s gonna be, at least, informed. Those guys know the game better than any local yokel. They both said no goal based on the rule that was explained by the refs last night. No matter what, you can’t be in the blue and he clearly was. Even Bob was screaming it. “He was in the blue, that’s the rule”

2. Was a little more gray but same as above. We were “schooled” that it’s not that cut and dry. Close had to be “trying” to move up in the crease and was being impeded for it to be illegal. B&M were like “wow, they changed that rule on the fly, I bet MN is pissed.

3. We put our heads down and just played and Cpt Delano 😉 got the game winning goal.

Great day of hockey. Sunday will be tough

1-0 Gophers after 1 period and looking pretty good after a slow start.
The ice looks super slow and shitty. The puck is bouncing and both teams over skating the puck because it won't slide on the ice.
Makes the passing game hard so may see more dump and chase that neither team wants.
