Good -


Rarely a penalty
Rush offense
First half D
TO's
Got the win

Bad -

2nd half D (at times)
Pass O (again)
Missed FG and terrible punt late in the game
Leidner's INT right before half. That was brutal


Ugly -

The REF's. They were horrible for both teams.

1. WTF was with the touch back call?
2. Same series. It's 2nd and "about 10, don't know the actual distance". Decent completion for them but he's 1, maybe 2 yards, short. Call on the field is 3rd and 1. Penalty for false start on them. They move them back and it's 1st and 15?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
3. Just some bizarre calls/no calls
4. The guy that calls the game at the LB depth was just too old. He was getting in the way, getting run over...ect.. all game long. A lot of movement in that area of the field so you need a guy that can move. Sorry to be crass.

Just looked over the scores for today. Does the Big 10 really suck this year or what? Maybe the Gophers do have a chance to go far this year, purely due to mediocre competition.

Insiders this morning on KFAN had me worried about today.
Happy we were up 28-0 then.
Not happy about these 2nd half let downs.
Any info on Leidner?

yes, this.


Last week was more understandable. We were whooping their asses until the last 10 minutes. This week, they came out in the 2nd half and punched us in the face, to an extent. Need to clean it up on the coaching side. This looked more like a system issue or a coaching staff who didn't expect it. No way, athletically, you can have that big of a disparity.

What constitutes Pass Interference in the NCAA Division I?

Watching games today and tonight, I am confused,
as I don't see anything being called on obvious PI!!

Frustrating to watch the difference between Saturday and Sunday ...

Ridiculous...to say the least.....not caring who wins, and not rooting for any of the teams,
but wow, no calls on obvious PI.....across the games currently on or on earlier!!

MSU cant pull off the upset. Basically the B10 is out of the title chase after two weeks.

Not in my lifetime, and I am 72; I started watching/listening to Gopher Football in the late 50's!!

I called the OSU loss over on the CFB thread under the Vikes section. They weren't that good WITH Miller. Now, they are toast and PPL should never sleep on Beamer's boys. They are always a tough out.

Who knows though, maybe Streveler will do alright. How good would this team look with solid QB play????

Too many true freshman playing on the Dline. Makes you wonder whats up with guys like Peppers, Timms, B. Perry...even Legania.

Sounds like Kill is not pleased with the second half let downs -- I would certainly hope not. They're a better team than they've showed at the end of both games. I think that gets taken care of: generally, that has not been a problem with Kill's teams.

Man, TCU will be tough if Leidner can't go. Not that he's a world beater, but also not the ideal place to give someone their first start.
