TODAY is why we, as MN Sports Fans, panic when we are 4-0, and we play bad for a half, or blow a late lead and lose a game. TODAY is one of those days I'd like to stuff up someone's ass the next time they say "Oh, calm down, it's just one loss/play/series". TODAY is a good example of why it isn't panic when some of know that the Vikings'll never get closer to winning it all than they did in '98, or that the Twins giving away a meaningless game in MAY in Seattle WILL come back to haunt them, etc etc etc. It's not panic, it's reality. How long will this misery continue? And how long will we have to endure coaches and players and teams that just don't "get it?" Good teams/programs/clubs seize opportunity, they take it seriously, they grab it around the throat and squeeze every ounce of life out of it. The 49ers of the '80s The Steelers of the '70s The Celtics in the '60s The Bulls in the '90s They didn't sit back and wait for more players, or hope good things happened, they went out and MADE good things happen. We have taken on this stupid, lazy, laid-back attitude in our Minnesota sports, and we get what we deserve. I'm sick as hell about it and I'm not gonna take it anymore. (Well, thats not true, what the hell can I do about it?) The Gopher Hockey team is really, honestly, the only team in town who plans on contending for National Titles. The rest all play for "little victories". Stuff your conference titles, your division titles, your league titles, big freaking whoop-de-doo. If you aren't building to win it all, you won't win anything. I'm done praying and hoping. I'm like that vulture in the cartoon who says to the other one "Screw patience, I'm hungry. I'm gonna kill me something."
