Big one for USD today ...
Should be a big boost for the program.
That said, pound em, Gophers! [:D]

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 11:46:58 AM)

Still not an Adam Webber fan...

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 11:57:52 AM)

14-3 SoDak early in the 2nd quarter...

And their young QB looks WAY better than Webber.

Adam Weber Fanclub:
1. Tim Brewster

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 12:04:21 PM)

He actually threw a nice pass.

Guess he just needs 4 seconds to survey the field with no defender within 5 yards of him...

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 12:12:28 PM)

That should've been another TD.

Keep the mo shifting our way guys.

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 12:13:01 PM)

And then a HORRIBLE throw on 3rd down where he had all the time in the world.

Still time to remove #2 from that list...

panndder -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 12:15:00 PM)

It's the David and Patrick show! Should be good for my post count.

/+1

panndder -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 12:17:14 PM)

I just see two things that need some polish for this to be a competent team:
1. Scoring some points
2. Preventing the other team from scoring

That you puts you two observations up on Brewster...

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 12:22:09 PM)

Apparently our young defense has never seen a screen.

Ugly. 21 points to SoDak in the 1st half...

panndder -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 12:22:36 PM)

I feel a little (and I mean a little little) bad for Brewster, it's EXTREMELY difficult to live up to expectations in college football. Fans want to be i contention for winning the Big Ten every year but truly only 2 or 3 teams (out of 12 now) are in that position in a given year. Out of those it's usually the same few. He tried to get the fans and players and recruits all amped up by talking Rose Bowls and traditions and all of this and went 1-11 in his first year. I get what he was trying to do, but now he looks like more of a fool for it. Furthermore his teams struggle against every opponent, whereas Mason won these type of games 44-7.

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 12:28:01 PM)

USC is going to annihilate us.

We might start the game down 21-0.

panndder -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 12:30:39 PM)

Northwestern will annihilate us.

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 12:40:56 PM)

South Dakota 3-72-3 all-time against teams from the Bowl Subdivision.

panndder -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 12:57:26 PM)

They were just getting started.

Lynn G. -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 1:02:42 PM)

I had to turn it off. Pitiful.

Pete M. -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 1:03:53 PM)

This is unbelievable. And not in a good way. How does a Big 10 team look this bad against a team that got pounded by Central Florida last week?

Jim Frenette -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 1:07:47 PM)

Worst move Brewster made while being coach was hiring Kevin Cosgrove as DC. He was fired from the same job at Neb when he couldn't get the job done with more talent. Brewster think he would be any different here?

We can't handle these teams and he wants to take on schools like USC and Texas???????????

He might be able to recruit players, but fails in getting a coaching staff together

From his quotes about the subject, Brewster led me to believe that Texas backed out because they were scared of playing us. [&:]

I know they aren't on the schedule, but he did try and get it done

Gophers should dominate both LOS in this game

Jim Frenette -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 1:18:45 PM)

Their coming back Lynn so you can turn game on again. Oh wait maybe it was you jinxing them[:D]

Lynn G. -> RE: Gopher Football (9/11/2010 1:25:03 PM)

Ha! Not me. I'm usually a GOOD luck influence. I have watched the score a bit. They need to really pound South Dakota.
