Sam Bradford has really hit the rookie wall

Last 3 games he has 0 TDs and 5 INTs with QB ratings of 66, 53, and 40

Redskins Wanted to Select Jake Locker in Last Draft
Wed Dec 22, 2010

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports the Washington Redskins would have drafted University of Washington QB Jake Locker in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft had he made himself available for that draft.

Locker completely blew it by staying in school.

Luck would be a fool to stay in school. He can't get any higher in draft position and if the team is a lot worse and another QB shines in 2011 he can easily go down.

This is only the third time since the league went to 16 games in 1978 that a division winner will have an 8-8 record or worse. If the Seattle Seahawks lose to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Arizona Cardinals lose to the Dallas Cowboys this week, the NFC West will be 12-28 outside the division. Spreading 28 losses throughout the league artificially inflates records of other teams.

If the Seahawks and Cardinals lose Sunday, the NFC West handed Atlanta, New Orleans and Tampa Bay 11 victories in 12 games, all but handing the NFC South the No. 1 and No. 5 seeds and keeping the Bucs in the playoff race. Had the NFC West played any other AFC division than the AFC West, it would have done similar things in the AFC playoff race. But the AFC West isn't very good and went only 9-7 against the NFC West.

Next year when the NFC South has to play a real division their records will fall

Now the true test comes, as the rookie (Bradford) comes home for a must-win game having totaled zero touchdowns, five interceptions and two lost fumbles the past three weeks. The matchup offers bounce-back hope, but that's sure a shaky cold spell, isn't it?

Winning time for the rookie

John Childress -> RE: RE:NFL News (12/26/2010 7:16:01 AM)

For the first time since the 2004 season, Arizona's Larry Fitzgerald was held to one catch in a game, ending the 4th longest multi-reception streak since 1970.

WOW

You know he wants out!

I'll back off on the Moss coming home if the Vikes can get Larry Fitzgerald to come home. [:)]

Why would he come here when we don't have a QB better then what he has now?

John Childress -> RE: RE:NFL News (12/26/2010 1:26:39 PM)

Who would want Moss on this team?

We need young hungry guys

marty -> RE: RE:NFL News (12/26/2010 2:03:56 PM)

Me, myself and I would want Moss on this team. He is old and hungry. He has savvy, helps the youngsters, I believe he can still play and will resurface, and doing it at a place like Minnesota, where he wants to bring the team a Championship, would be perfect.

IF the Vikes keep Frazier (I'm not sure they should), I have a feeling the Vikes will first acquire QB Peyton Manning.

You might think this is impossible, but NOT in todays' NFL. IF a player wants out, he finds a way. I think Manning would like a fresh start, and can come to Minnesota to break all Favre's records (excluding the INT record [;)]). Frazier was with Manning with the Colts, and would like to have him QBing another team to a SB win, and the Vikes have just the kind of GM to make it happen.

After the Vikes get Manning, they can then either Moss or Fitzgerald to fill out the WR corps nicely.

Rex Ryan has to be the dumbest coach ever in the NFL

4th and 3
OWN 40

He goes for it

Pass incomplete

Next play, 40 yard TD pass to tie game

Freakin idiot

I disagree on Moss.  Percy Harvin and Adrian Peterson seemed to like him just fine.  I believe Percy was very out spoken about the value Moss had to the team and the receivers in particular as far as mentoring them etc...

I do not think Chili ever wanted Moss here.  I think Chilli did everything he could to ensure his dismissal of Moss looked justified in some way.

I believe that if we got a coach in here who could be a motivation to the players instead of a dictator...got an OC that knew how to build an offense to its strengths, Moss could be a very dynamic piece of this team.  I think Percy, Rice, Peterson, Schank and Moss all on the field at the same time opens this tema up huge!  Yep, need a QB but those pieces would be astronomical!

Moss would have to accept his role though...that would be the key!

Lynn G. -> RE: NFL News (12/27/2010 9:38:57 AM)

I'm not too excited about the idea of bringing back a player that has to be coddled so much. If he doesn't like his coach, he just won't play. Really? Players go through numerous coaches over the years. If they only put out any effort if they actually LIKE the coach, they won't get far.

You can't blame anyone except Moss for the fact that he dogged it in practice and dogged it in games. And being an asshole to the caterers was really sweet. [sm=icon_sarcasm.gif]

I'm glad that some of the players liked him, but I don't want a player that can turn it on and off so arbitrarily. Do we have to check his mood every Sunday to determine if this is a game he feels like playing or not? That's not what I want from a pro that takes a big paycheck.

Guest -> RE: NFL News (12/27/2010 9:50:15 AM)

Moss is no different that some of the other players on this team IMO.  He just stated how he felt.  I wish JAllen, BFavre and some of these other self-professed leaders of this team would have called Chilli out earlier.  Childress slams Favre in his presser and Favre toe's the company line.  Childress never had a problem airing his grievence with players to the media and the players were the professional ones who stayed the course.  Finally Moss comes back to town and calls out Chilli....Sure, it looked like Moss was the bad guy here, but in all reality, it was Moss who IMO caused the bus to roll over Chilli and get his ass fired. Its something we ALL wanted.  It was something 95% of that team wanted.  Moss facilitated that.

I have not heard one thing about Moss since he left Minnesota and signed with Tennessee.  That team has tanked and Moss has barely been used.  Not one word....Maybe Moss got the message, I don't know, but you put him on a team with as many weapons as we could have, and he gives you some effort, he makes it almost impossible to come up with a defensive scheme to stop everyone.

Thats just my opinion.  Sure, plenty of people will say the exact opposite...but there is no way you can say that in the short time he was here things didn't open up for Harvin and Peterson.  Our record may not have been indicative of that, but there are player on this team that would tell you different.

Lynn G. -> RE: NFL News (12/27/2010 10:10:30 AM)

I suspect the Titans' media and the forums have been discussing Moss. Just because we don't hear anything doesn't mean much because I don't tune in to Redskins news either, but I suspect there is some great unhappiness there, for example.

I know that Fisher was asked whether he regrets bringing in Moss - so that tells me that all is not necessarily smooth in Titans' land.

John Childress -> RE: NFL News (12/27/2010 10:20:01 AM)

Moss is a 12 year veteran who is supposed to be a leader by this stage of his career. He shouldn't need a coach to motivate him to play.

Further, if Bill Belichick and Jeff Fisher couldn't get anything out of him how can you blame Brad Childress?

Moss has no motivation and declining skills.

Not a good mix for a rebuilding team.

We don't even have a QB to throw to him.

Guest -> RE: NFL News (12/27/2010 10:41:27 AM)

I can blame Brad Childress for anything I want concerning this team!  Its evident that HE was the cancer in the locker room.  Moss just didn't take any of Childress's crap and I applaud him for it.

Belicheck is a pretty smart guy and got a lot in return for Moss....I wouldn't be surprised if Moss is back in NE next season.

Fischer doesn't impress me....never has.
