The best performance I have seen all bowl season from a Big Ten team was the Gophers.

Like I have been saying all year, if you have no quarterbacks in your conferences, the defenses will all look good and the decent ones will look great. The Big Ten hierarchy are now playing good quarterbacks and the defenses look very pedestrian. Michigan gives up 33. Ohio State 31. What will Penn State surrender against USC?

Bruce Johnson -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (1/1/2017 8:59:33 PM)

I disagree. The Wolverines showed more in a loss than the Gophers did in winning.

That being said, I agree about the quarterbacks in the Big 10. Ohio States quarterback had a track record of success going into the season, but it seems that he regressed with his passing.

It's been frustrating for me to watch football this year as it seems that whomever I root for will lose. Based on that, we should see Alabama and New England win championships coming up. I may just have to pass on watching that.

How did the Wolverines show more? They were supposed to have a great defense and gave up 33 points.

Michigan fell apart when Harbaugh fell apart

Repeat of his time in SF

He has to get his emotions in check to become a championship coach

Kiffin and Saban "mutually agree" to split ways BEFORE the Championship Game.

Kiffin only being offered the FAU job tells you all you need to know about his personality. He should be humbled.

But, if the snake Petrino can resurrect himself, I'm guessing that Kiffin will get another chance at the big time.

Wisconsin is about to knock off undefeated Western Michigan. That's very impressive.

SoMnFan -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (1/2/2017 2:41:39 PM)

A real shocker. [;)]

twinsfan -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (1/2/2017 2:53:11 PM)

Miracle TD by Western Michigan to stay alive. PAT missed. Oops!

Looked like offensive pass interference on the TD.

The three wins by the Big Ten so far. Western Michigan, Washington State and Pittsburgh. Not exactly a who's who of the college football hierarchy.

Great. So was Northwest Missouri State.

Gophers played great. Perfect conditions for them. Slow track with the field being wet.

Missing quite a few starters the had a defensive game scheme that completely confused Washington State.

twinsfan -> RE: College Football (Future Vikings!) (1/2/2017 3:46:14 PM)

A USC player just compared the PSU quarterback to Johnny Football. What a compliment.

pac12 QBs are only "real" when playing other pac12 teams.

The 8th or 9th best big 10 team missing a boat load of starters shuts down the 3rd or 4th best pac12 team. In the heart of pac12 country. You can't make this stuff up.

True, and usually goes for all Pac 12 skill players. (Big 12,too)

Western Michigan was ranked in the top 15 in EVERY ranking system. Maybe not exactly who's who, but higher than all but 3 pac12 teams. Considering they played a top 10 Big 10 team tough in a bowl game, they'll probably leapfrog Washington and Colorado, and USC after PSU finishes them off.
