Melvin Gordon has Barry Sanders in sight: In 1988, Barry Sanders had an amazing season with Oklahoma State, rushing for 2,628 yards rushing and scoring 37 touchdowns in only 11 games. Well, Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon will get the benefit of playing in 14 games, and because of that he could surpass Sanders' mark. Heading into Saturday, the Heisman hopeful leads the nation with 2,260 yards rushing. If Gordon didn't play another game that total would already be good enough for fourth all-time, with only Sanders, Central Florida's Kevin Smith and Southern Cal's Marcus Allen ahead of him.
